If he's THE man according to Fitzsimmons then stop criticizing other fans and criticize the sportsmen.
I don't get how Fitzsimmons can't realize Kovalev is THE man. Hopkins picked him, Pascal calls him the man in the division. Nobody respects Stevenson.
He's trying to compare Leonard-Hearns to Kovalev-Stevenson in terms of opposition..
Sugar Ray fought the man at 154 then faced Hitman Hearns at 147 right after, yet Stevenson is looking for Fonfara 2??? What the actual ****Last edited by SlySlickSmooth; 12-23-2014, 05:52 PM.

Why does this site employ such a worthless, talentless hack?
What ****zsimmons fails to point out (almost certainly because he wasn't aware of such a fact) is that Leonard and Hearns had agreed in principle to fight six months before they actually did, hence Hearns being on the undercard of Leonard-Kalule.

Are all fighters that sign with Haymon ducking fighters that fight on HBO? HBO is working this dispute good because they have people like you making generalized statements like that to help them sptead their propaganda. Didn't Bernard Hopkins back out of fighting Stevenson himself and not the other way around? Isn't the same true with Pascal and his 50\50 demand? Correct me if I'm wrong. It seems that Stevenson is an easy target because he is represented by Haymon who is an easy target because he represents Mayweather. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I just want to hear Adonis bitchass Stevenson to get on the microphone in front of all his fans and say "I want Kovalev" instead of "My promoters this. My promoters that. But I do want Bernard Hopkins!!" If he wants Kovalev, he can get Kovalev. Stop signing to fight unworthy opponents for the cash and make big bucks against Kovalev while also having the shot to become an UNDISUPUTED champion.

YDKSAB.
And I suppose Tavoris Cloud is some world beater? He got destroyed by a 6 fight novice.

1. He's a former pimp/little girl beater
2. He blatantly ducked the Kovalev fight
3. His general attitude and behavior. Celebrating after brutally knocking out opponents when they could be badly hurt (Dawson, Boone II, Noe Gonzalez, Sukhotsky), and thinking he's some huge star when his biggest accomplishment to date is knocking out mentally shot Chad Dawson.

I think you're missing the point of the article and proving its point at the same time. People like you use twitter and other social networking platforms to voice your feelings about why fights don't get made and really don't consider the facts. Then professional writer's go out and write articles that parrot the same sentiments to cater to those types of fans. The writer of this article is speaking his own mind contrary to what the popular word on twitter is and he gets attacked for it. Which proves why the other writers who just stay in line with what is being said on social media do that. The part where journalists do thorough research and use their inside connections to inform the audience is being lost to hack jobs who prefer to cater to the masses. Don't you think its the media's job to inform people with facts and background information? Or do believe thwt writer's should say what they think people want to hear even if it isn't true? Those are real questions that people should think about because it applies to more than just the boxing media.

If he doesn't want Fonfara 2 or whatever opponent they want to line him up with, then don't sign. Get them to get you Kovalev, there's SO much money for Stevenson-Kovalev to make if they fight in Canada. Stevenson would be getting paid more than what he is now. What? do you not want him to get that huge payday while possibly becoming the Undisputed Lightheavyweight or do you care more about a guy's purse and who his manager is?
