  • Comments Thread For: Pascal To Have a Packed Camp For Kovalev Clash

Following the unfortunate turn of events during his December 6th fight, Jean Pascal is hungrier than ever to attain his ultimate objective of becoming world champion again. He will have a serious corner for the upcoming fight with WBO/WBA/IBF light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev on March 17th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Marc Ramsey, who accompanied David Lemieux to Brooklyn last December 6th for his bout against Gabriel Rosado will be back in Pascal’s corner for the March 14th bout. Roy Jones Jr. and Russ Anber will be assisting Pascal during camp and during the bout.

He'll get injured during this camp and the fight will be postponed until June. Calling it now.

I think Pascal is good but not as good as the hype around him is. His last few opponents have been low tier, including the Bute fight. He couldn't beat Hopkins. The only real big name on his resume is Chad Dawson right?

pascal is underated by many on this forum, he beat chad dawson when he was prime, recognized as the best light heavyweight, who after his loss to pascal beat hopkins.
Pascal has a good chin with explosive power, lots of speed and power. Stamina is one of his biggest weakness,, he trains to be as fast and explosive as he can while struggling to maintain the stamina, that's why he had hired heredia memo to help.kovalev has a lot better workrate but he gotta watch out for pascals explosivenes in the first rounds. But kovalev has beaten fast fighters before, I can see him countering pascal like he did with a fast fighter as roy jones jr also trained and was very high on because of his speed:sillakh. Can pascals hard chin hold up?

If Hopkins can beat him, Sergey sure can too.

It won't be a walk in the park for Kovalev. His chin is gonna get tested multiple times during the 12 round fight!

Pascal lost against Hopkins for all the wrong reasons...

Yet Kovalev's only significant win is against a 50 year old man.

Can't wait to see how he performs when he finally faces a credible rival for the first time in his professional career.

Pascal fought a much better version of Hopkins than Sergey did, a much much better version. Hopkins that Sergey fought laid against the ropes and threw 16 punches a round, 16 punches, what a tough fight.

Pascal is going to torch Sergey easily. He is way too fast and he has good power and movement. Kovalev has cement feet and doesn't understand the concept of defense.

He needs all the help he can get

                  Hopkins underestimated kovalev

                  Hopkins trainer grossly underestimated kovalev

Kovalev is going to be extremely hard to beat

Pascal does have power and athleticism which you need to beat kovalev
