Location matters. Like the Olympics or relocating an pro team(nba/mlb/etc..), there are economic factors such as site fees, local economic impact, promotions, TV rights, etc..
If you put up an event in the UK most of the promotional budget will be allocated locally. That will affects US PPV.Comment

Manny made 850K in the Bradley rematch. So what's the difference? This is the Bradley that can't draw flies in his home location. Not to mention the crappy undercards. So what's the difference?
Has Showtime released Guerrero's numbers yet? How about Maidana 1 and 2? Show me a link.Comment

I agree that it shouldn't have an effect on the buy rate whether it's Vegas, Rio, or London, so long as it's on at the usual time. The issue I think is that if you're at the stage of making it a ppv, you looking to rake in as much money as possible. Vegas is a place that pays the big events to come to them, where everywhere else you're renting out the building and rooms, ect. The bigger the event, the more Vegas will pay. Fighting at MSG is bit cost prohibitive. Expensive to rent out, then NY taxes take a big chunk, where Vegas is less so.Comment
