I think the issue with Floyd wanting to keep the date is, well, once he gives it up once, he's more than likely given it up in the future too.
If his next opponent is someone not a high profile as Pac, he's going to want that date back, and it'll be harder work to attain it then.

you guys are a trip smh i wish it were floyd and his team using the date as an excuse saying its disrespectful to fight on that day after hes already did it twice... i wonder if manny would be told to switch dates or hes ducking... i cant respect men like you all if it wasnt clear that you all had an agenda it should be as clear as day now to any logical person

If it's Pacquiao he's fighting, what does it matter what date it is held? If it's not Pacquiao, then who exactly is stopping him?. They're on different networks, anyway, as we've seen just the other week with Bradley and Khan.

Obviously, there is a reason that date is coveted by boxing networks and promoters. I think you know why-because there is less competition from mainstream US sports so revenues are maximized. You didn't know this?

Probably because Manny was given those dates when Floyd retired so he and his team are aware the date maximizes revenues for a fight/fighter, especially one who gets so much from PPV revenue like manny.
So the biggest fight In boxing history should be scrapped because Floyd just doesn't feel like fighting on a different date?

This fight Is big enough that It doesn't need May 2nd. It could happen next month and sell.

If the two sides can agree to May 2nd thats great, If not who cares as long as the fight gets done.

Pacquiao has agreed to drug testing and less money. He was actually the first to call Floyd out and Floyd most likely only responded because his back was against the wall.

If In fact Pacquiao does not follow through with his obligation to drug testing and less money when they sit down to finalize the contract than I think It would be fair to point the finger and blame Pacquiao.

As of right now, this minute, the ball Is In Floyds court and he has to make the decision as to whether or not he truly wants this fight.

I don't think with a 100 million dollars on the line that a date should even be a factor, this will show the world how serious he Is.

It's up to Pacquiao to straighten things out with Arum, not much else needs to be said.

Its an excuse to get out of fight. Clear as day.

Ball is in Arums court and hes hiding it while saying Floyd has it.

For four years it's always been, "take the test." What are TBE's roadblocks now? He wants one billion dollars? What?

Floyd needs to step up but Arum is the one talking about he doesn't want the fight to happen because he doesn't want to disrespect Mexicans. These dudes are smoking crack to continue to put all of this on Floyd's shoulders when the facts are Mayweather is the only one on record trying to get the fight down while Pacquiao either walked away or turned down an offer without negotiating. The world is crazy how they try to over look what the facts are just for personal opinion sake.
