Another thing is that he is just average but he gets treated like hes the next Chavez or Marquez and at last the biggest reason why haters will multiply is his attitude. Yeah he seems like a nice guy and all but he already is Cotto mixed with Mayweather regarding attitude. The difference between them is that they earned the reputation and being the a-side the hard way, Canelo became champion beating bums that were 20 pounds less than him and jumping weightclasses or 50 year olds. Got a Mayweather fight not because of quality (as we all could see in the fight) but cause of his popularity. We all could see what type of guy he is in the Cotto negoations telling the A-side he wants this sponsor, this weight, this location, this date, this everything and that really speaks volumes about his character which will become a HUGE problem in future. Nobody likes a spoiled child and guys like Khan, Mayweather or Broner got this many haters not cause the things they do inside of the ring but do and say outside the ring.
      Great post

        Same for the Trout fight

Draws would have been a much better result given the 50/50 split between those fights, but due to the nature of officiating in this sport, Canelo gets away with 2 'victories' which are disputed.

Major major respect for Canelo for taking on Trout and Lara, though I really hope he wasn't made aware of lenient scorecards before the bout (the open scoring in the Trout fight was criminal), but I don't think he was. However, he only has 1 decisive win against a top 10 at 154, and not even at the weight, in Angulo.
I'm possibly the biggest Canelo fan on this board. And I thought Lara won a close 7-5 or it was a DRAW. Doesn't matter, Lara didn't do **** in the fight except score jabs on the run, which admittedly banked him some rounds imo. Possibly enough to win the fight. Who cares about that. The minute he got caught Canelo opened up his forehead with a vicious uppercut. Had that ******* skull split in half. Lara knows Canelo would have sent him back to Cuba in a body bag so he went into survival mode for 85% of the fight. **** Lara.

And as for Trout? Lmao, Canelo beat the **** out of that tool. Had him dancing around doing the Bernie. Trouts chin has never been the same since. 8-4 Canelo with KD. Or 7-5 Canelo, if your a ****** hater. plus knock down.
Canelo beat trout by AT LEAST 3 points. Except it, deal with it, and MOVE ON. Bottles for the scum haters.

Really? He is one of the five biggest attractions in the sport, and if he fights Cotto it will be the biggest boxing event of 2015.

That tends to happen when guys sit on the shelf for 6-months plus. There has been plenty of threads however, in the last month that would say otherwise. Just sayin...................

To be honest Trout's performance deserves more respect than Lara's. Trout used movement in the first half of the fight. When he heard he was being screwed on the scorecards, he stood his ground and fought like a man. Lara looked scared the whole fight and showed no urgency to take more risks in the later rounds in a fight that was obviously close and against a popular fighter. He talked a lot before the fight and shat the bed in the ring.
