Most of Alvarez's hate was because he was being handed belts and money without earning it against anyone.

In the last 2 years he's proven himself willing to fight everyone the fans want to see him fight. Why hate him now? His attitude since the Trout fight is exactly what fans should want out of one of boxing's biggest money makers.

Sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due, the consensus for Canelo going into the Lara fight was that it was gonna be a 50-50 fight or slight favorite one way or the other, the fight played out as competitive as it was expected to be and the majority had Canelo winning (Including myself). Even those that had Lara winning admit it could have conceivably gone to Canelo. I can only ask, why not give Canelo his credit?

Canelo's lack of foot speed will prohibit him from ever being a dominant force in the ring, he might continue to rack up victories though. Froch is similar in that he too has his limitations but continues to win. I think Canelo will have a good career, nothing special.

Since he got schooled by TBE, the hate vanished.

They are stuck at 155lbs waiting for a shot at his undisputed 155lb crown.

Any fighter who is popular will always have haters.
              They're never going away.

He needs to start fighting in Mexico, on Mexican television networks, against Mexicans, for Mexican currency since he feels so deeply about Mexicans and their holidays that don't fall on May 2nd.

Canelo needs to get rid of the Reynosos. "He's improved since Mayweather!"

I don't see it. At all.

Get him with Nacho or Roach ASAP.

                      Same for the Trout fight

Draws would have been a much better result given the 50/50 split between those fights, but due to the nature of officiating in this sport, Canelo gets away with 2 'victories' which are disputed.

Major major respect for Canelo for taking on Trout and Lara, though I really hope he wasn't made aware of lenient scorecards before the bout (the open scoring in the Trout fight was criminal), but I don't think he was. However, he only has 1 decisive win against a top 10 at 154, and not even at the weight, in Angulo.
