It's simply a bad matchup for the old, plodding, flat footed Mayweather. He will lose and lose comfortably. It's simply a question of whether he has the balls to sign for such a matchup, and it's one that I and most others know the answer to.

If you guys think Mayweather-Khan is going to be hard you are an idiot. Mayweather and Khan sparred a few years back. Floyd knows khan is an easy fight. Khan has a glass chin, is way too wild and opens up way too much and has no power on his punches. Wake up guys.

Floyd is in a race against the clock. With Canelo and Cotto working on a deal, he tried to chase them off the May 2nd date by using Manny's name. That didn't work, Arum called his bluff. So now he's trying to finalize a Khan fight because he knows if Canelo beats him to the punch, Showtime will force him to fight on another date.

            Tick Tock, Floyd. Time's a wastin'. #KhanJob

Fighters who have gave Khan problems have always been ones that throw with him. Guys who are a bit crude.
Floyd does not, he is too defensive and doesn't take those kind of risks.

He is tall and rangy with a lightning fast jab that will give Floyd problems on activity alone. He is rapid, uses angles and now controls distance very well. On top hes showing ability to fight inside and get out.
Yes he throws wide at times but he is so fast he gets away with it. Floyd has always looked **** when faced against activity and volume - that is a fact.
He has always been a slow starter. Or is he a slow starter or just steady and takes advantage when guys slow down?

He has a poor chin but Floyd has no damn power especially these days.

I will go out on a limb and say Khan beats current Floyd comfortably and I hate the kid.
Its an awful style match up for Floyd unless he shows power, the kind hes never shown quite frankly. This whole he had power at the lower weights is bull****! Hes never been a puncher or anything close, period.
He stuns guys, he hasn't the pop to drop anybody let alone stop them. Even at the lower weights he hardly put anyone over.

Floyd is too selective with his shots, he doesn't have the workrate to match Khan and he is past the point where his shots fire off automatically. He sits back and waits and waits and waits before letting his hands go.
He is a pot-shotter, he throws one at a time.

People are so used to seeing him fight these slow, flat-footed C level operators who stand on the outside starstruck they truly believe he is TBE and the bold claims he comes out with. Hes not half the fighter he was even 3 years back.

Floyd has been done for years he has just conned these guys who sit in a fantasy world thinking they're apart of TMT. Its called fanboyism, they're blinded so badly they still think hes even better than he was aged 28.

He has been done for years just fighting guys who make him look like hes still as great as ever.

Just like when Donaire (a very good fighter) looked better than he was because he was carefully matched.

Why do you think he retired? Why you think he has been so inactive? He goes when the real threats are there and reemerges when he sees a top fighter he knows full well is made to order. Even Madonna was a cherrypick lets be honest - Khan won that poll but people was happy with it to spite Khan, myself included, but Madonna didn't follow the script and exposed him for how far gone he really is and that was with everything stacked against him.
