This Clown Isn't Baiting Anyone; He Ducked Kovalev, Bhop & Pascal

Stevenson had a chance to call out Kovalev, Bhop or Pascal after he stopped a tomato can Saturday night, and his response was, "I let Al Haymon pick my opponents", which meant he wants nothing to do with those three. Gutless weasel.

Moving to Showtime for more money and a guaranteed fight with Hopkins was the right thing to do. Unfortunately for him, Kovalev who couldn't generate $$ to save his life agreed to fight Hopkins for peanuts (probably 10-20% of all revenues.)

Because Hopkins was assured to loose against both, he picked the most lucrative fight.

Obviously that left Stevenson with few options but still gave us good fights in 2014 dominating two top 10 fighters.

Some might say Adonis got exposed against Fonfara but the way I see it, he proved he can come back stronger after taking a punch... And that's bad news for Pascal and Kovalev!
That's a whole lot of wishful thinking. I think you're really reaching here... Everyone knows, including Stevenson's network, that he and Al Shame-on completely ****ed up 2014. Based on Stevenson's post-fight comments, it seems unlikely that he will actively pursue a fight with Kovalev in the future. He is more interested in holding on to his title as long as possible, regardless of how little relevance it ends up having, by being matched up with opponents who are not considered a serious threat.
I don't know who he thinks he's fooling by saying everybody has to come to him because he is THE MAN at LHW. After a lackluster, embarrassing year, this is nowhere close to the truth.
The WBC will have to strip him of his title before Stevenson voluntarily agrees to fight Kovalev.

Here's how I think it will go down:

Kovalev is offered an insulting split like 30% and Kathy Duva tells Stevenson's promoters to pound sand. They come back with a "generous" 35% offer and are told again to get lost. The purse goes to a bid making it a 50/50 split and Stevenson pulls a Quillin and drops the belt minutes before the deadline handed down by the WBC to make the fight.

Stevenson looks like he could be the goods. Solid boxing skills, has power, and has bad intentions.

Its just when he's actually standing across the ring from Kovalev, will his morale still be as high? Will he fold mentally at the thought of another killer being in the ring with him?

                Stevenson is above Kovalev.
                Stevenson's becoming an untouchable fighter.
Means, Stevenson have more chance to land, and less chance to get hit; which mean, Kovalev have less chance to land, and more chance to get hit.

Against Fonfara, I believe it was one of those bad nights fighting with an injury. And about his last fight, did you know Stevenson suffered from a root canal the same day he fought Sukhotsky. And he manage the pain from the operation he got earlier that day.

                Adonis Stevenson will demolish Kovalev...

By night’s end, the reigning World light heavyweight champion achieved the desired outcome, stopping Dmitry Sukhotsky in the fifth round of a voluntary title defense Friday evening in Quebec City, Canada. The result wasn’t the type of unforgettable moment, though, to make the viewing public forget about what he DIDN’T accomplish over the course of the past year.

The truth is, there was little Stevenson could have accomplished at the Colisee de Quebec to land back in favorable view of the boxing public. Failing to secure fights with the two best fighters in the division – Sergey Kovalev and Bernard Hopkins – was one thing. The fact that they wound up facing each other after he had fights with both on the table has cast the Haitian-Canadian in a very bad light.

Not the best look, and a miserable fall from grace after earning accolades in many circles – including BoxingScene.com – as the 2013 Fighter of the Year.

With 2014 a lost cause even before fight night began in Quebec City, Stevenson did his best to make the most of his final fight of the year. A theatrical entrance carried a “Superman” theme, in recognition of his boxing nickname and complete with a red cape as he made his way to the ring. [Click Here To Read More]
He refused to fight the top three competitors at 175 in 2014. That doesn't make him the man at 175. That simply makes him the biggest ......y at 175
