WBC JMW, WW tournament?

Have you guys heard about this? Who are the participants?

Supposedly they are not giving FMJ a mandatory fight at this point. Instead holding an 8 man tournament to either have a legit, credible opponent or an heir to the thrown.

Thats what I read at least.

Junior middleweight – It was decided that Floyd Mayweather Jr., who holds titles at 154 and 147, is an exceptional circumstance. Mauricio Sulaimán said no mandatories would be announced and that he wanted to allow every opportunity and openly encourage Mayweather to fight Manny Pacquaio. Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz made a motion for a box-off between eight fighters, with the winners to meet until one remains. This would take over a year and provide either a worthy mandatory for Mayweather or a successor in the event that Mayweather is then retired.

They using Floyd's name when he will be retired by the time the tournament is over

Floyd tells WBC what to do. WBC made PAC mandatory and they are not enforcing it so instead , to save face, they put out this idea
