The only heavyweight today that can be compared to Lennox Lewis is Wladimir Klitschko.
Stiverne and Wilder are pawns compared to the heavyweights of the 90s.
Wilder is greener than Stiverne, but the gap between them is small enough that the fight could go either way.Comment

Regardless of the winner. I expect Klitschko to demolish him. Much like his brother, only retirement is going to end Wlad's reign. That much I think we can agree on. The landscape of the heavyweight division is going to change dramatically once Wlad leaves the picture. Belt holders are going to change like night and day. It's going to be very competitive. I don't think we'll see a heavyweight clearly dominate the division and hold the crown for at least a decade.Comment

I don't believe Wilder to end Klitchko reign but I do believe the man to do that is Joshua. If he continues his current pase I believe he will end the Klitchko nightmare and begin his own reign in the heavyweight divison.Regardless of the winner. I expect Klitschko to demolish him. Stiverne's manger is not saying that his 32 KO's were dives but against very limited opposition. I happened to like both fighters but if the fight goes past 8, Wilder is in trouble.I can see what he is saying to a point but it's pretty hard, very difficult to stage 32 KO's out of 32 fights in the HW division because any opponent can probably KO you as well given the weight these guys have. So, there has got to be something that Wilder is bringing to the table that provides this consistency....you can look at GGG, Kovalev, Wlad and Matthysse as well.....it's called power.
Stiverne is a good boxer but he doesn't provide the movement needed to evade Wilder's power and reach. People are going to see on the 17th, Stiverne is getting dropped like the rest of Wilder's opposition has. He is durable and may take Wilder a little longer to do it but I personally think that Wilder will come at him early and try to beat him down to prove a point.Comment

Yeah I would say that Stiverne and Wilder are more like the fat version of David Tua that Lewis fought and Michael Grant.Comment

I saw Lennox Lewis get knocked out by Oliver McCall and Hasim Rachman with one punch. He is definitely not an ATG. In my opinion, Lewis was an average fighter who only got as far as he did because of his height advantage over his opponents. Since you brought it up, I think Kiltschko is also an average fight whose biggest asset is his height advantage. If Lewis and Klitschko were 6'2 or 6'3, they would not have accomplished nearly as much as they did in their careers.
Wilder is not very good. Stiverne is much better and will prove that on January 17.Comment
