Verdejo certainly isn't that and nor was Cotto. Garcia has the potential to be because all he does is wins. He beats the fighters people say he isn't supposed to beat.
Felix Verdejo is about 3 years younger than Oscar Valdez and they're being moved at about the same pace. And besides that, all you have to do is watch a Felix Verdejo fight to see that he has the highest ceiling of any prospect in the world. Valdez is nowhere close to Verdejo, .

Plus Verdejo right now is what, 135. He'll be campaigning in the most popular divisions in his career. 135, 140, 147, maybe 154, and possibly even 160.

Errol Spence has a much higher ceiling. And if you haven't heard, the best Cubans may be coming over because The Embargo is about to or has possibly already been lifted. Check Out Julio Cesar La Cruz, he is actually an exciting Cuban fighter who goes Toe to Toe.

Spence Valdez and Verdejo are all special. But man I see felix and I see that this kid has all it takes to be a superstar. Talk about him like I'm old when im only 25 lol but a lot of people involved in the sport see it. We shall see but either way these guys turn out to be the goods and you have the next generation of young mexican ,Rican and African American to take over the sport. Especially with all these russian guys making noise lol

Francisco Vargas is about to be 30 years old, I wouldn't consider him a prospect. Good fighter though. He needs to get his career moving.

I agree that talent wise Oscar Valdez is Mexico's best prospect. The best Mexican prospect of 2014 is Gilberto Ramirez though. Hard to beat 4 wins, all by knockout.

Ramirez by far. He did great and handled his opponents in the manner which he should have. Although I love how active Valdez has been this year. He has one more fight left this year which would tally him up to 6 outtings for 2014, impressive.
