elishua F, fast hands at this point means a lot because I and a lot of boxing fans are tired of Floyd dominating slow big punchers who look like they are standing in cement. Exciting when fighting others but it becomes quite clear they are not going to hit Floyd after a couple rounds and then the party starts to fall asleep. So a guy like Khan has a different style. You saying that Floyd when so Khan fans go away doesn't make sense. I am just a boxing fan but am dying to see Floyd fight a different person instead of the same person over and over. No one is KOing Floyd ever so if he is to be defeated it would be by decision. Do I think Khan would win, no, but I think he has the best shot since OHLH. Now obviously we all want Pac but there are so many problems there. If he doesn't fight Pac then I want Khan. Floyd gets his guaranteed money anyways so I don't see why the numbers are so important. I mean Khan is the best option he has number wise besides Pac, Canelo, and Cotto and that is Showtimes problem anyways. Pac has never fought anyone faster than him, Floyd has never fought anyone faster than him. If Floyd does fight Khan, Khan may have faster hands and Floyd may have problems with that. Very interesting to see. He may have to become a bully and KO Khan and even that would be worth seeing

Actually most people have been saying mayweather looks like hes lost his pegs, and pacquiao looks as good as ever, and also pacquiaos a better fighter since his Marquez loss. He alot smarter and doesn't get reckless, unless he doesn't respect your power like with Chris algieri everyone was like algieri hit Manny a bunch of times! Well it was still a third of Manny punches and a third of the power and many was basically letting him punch and then countering when that happened,I see Manny beating mayweather easily

Khan does have a small point here and I personally believe he will compete more than Pac will...But no way in the world Floyd or boxing fans will pass on a Pac fight over Khan....Ortiz was even hailed by Arum and everyone else as a big young strong lefty who "Floyd would never get in the ring with".....Khan needs to fight one of his own boogymen, which is Brook or Thurman and win, and then the public will demand Floyd fight him....I'm a big time fan of Floyd and I feel he wants to avoid Khan, just like Khan is avoiding Keith and Kell, but with two fights left in his career and super-fight with Pac looming, who cares as plenty of legends take a soft, almost garunteed win for their last fight or else get beat out of the sport to someone undeserving...

So you owe Khan a fight, even if it isn't your next fight. Pac of course comes first and then Khan and the retire if you must. But there are a good few fights out there to be honest. Lara, Thurman, GGG

So to explain Khan won the vote on Mayweathers twitter page by just under 5000 votes. But when Mayweather's team factored in other forms of social media Maidana actually won far more. It was also reported that the majority of Khans votes were from his fans abroad, while Maidana won far more American votes. As Americans drive Mayweathers PPV, Mayweather went with the fighter the American fans chose, and that was Marcos Maidana.

Zab Judah and Carlos Baldomir were the top dogs at welterweight when Mayweather moved up, both held world titles IBF and WBC. Judah was Mayweathers second fight at the weight, and Bladomir was coming off wins against Judah and Ghatti, and was Mayweathers 3rd fight at the weight. Khan does not share anything with either of them and Khans position right now is no where near compatible to theirs at the time Mayweather fought them.

Ortiz was after a long lay off and Mayweather would probably have fought Berto if he had won, everyone seems to forget that Berto was highly ranked and consider one of the top welterweights at the time. And Guerrero was Mayweathers first fight after coming out of jail, why people continue to talk schit about the Guerrero fight is beyond me.

Pacquiao was 100x times bigger than those guys khan and mayweather never had the balls to fight him. Now all of a sudden mayweather wants the pac fight because a fighter with a bad style match up is coming for him with less money. But then he will lowball pac and duck khan to fight another slow plodding fighter. watch.

Robert Guerrero, Miguel Cotto, Shane Moseley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Zab Judah, I get your point but everyone i just listed had different styles of boxing, and if you continue down Mayweathers resume you will see more. Its disingenuous to suggest that Mayweather fights the same type of fighter.

Mayweather should fight Pac. Khan is of little interest, being that he hasnt beaten anyone to get excited about at welter weight. I have a feeling May goes after Cotto hard if Pac doesnt work out.

"I said in public that Amir Khan has a good style for Mayweather. But I never said he was going to beat Mayweather. I don’t think he can beat Mayweather, but he can give him trouble. He’s very athletic, he’s in and out very quick.

His problem is that he likes to stay in the pocket a little bit too long sometimes, and that usually costs him. When it costs him, he doesn’t have a great chin. And let’s face it, Mayweather can punch when he wants to. When he wants to draw you in, if you look at his fights against Ricky Hatton and a couple other guys, he can punch when he wants to."

An average person would think that Amir Khan was undefeated and had been a champion in five weight classes considering all the trash he is talking.

Instead, Khan has fought in three weight classes and has been knocked out in two of those weight classes. He has not been a world champion in any division for two years and, I don't know how many people paid to see his fight against Alexander, but I don't think the arena was sold out.

Basically, Khan is a guy who has a mediocre body of work who just happened to look good in his last fight against a decent fighter. Unfortunately, looking good in your last fight against a decent opponent is all it takes for boxing geniuses to claim that a fighter would give Mayweather problems and claim that Mayweather is ducking said fighter.
