Comments Thread For: Khan To Mayweather: I'm Bigger Than Maidana, Ortiz!

AMIR KHAN has hit out at pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd Mayweather.

Khan, 28, is vying for a crack at the undisputed welterweight king following his unanimous decision victory over Devon Alexander in Las Vegas last Saturday.

Howwver, Mayweather, who boasts a record of 47 victories and no losses, has his eyes set on a super-fight with Manny Pacquiao in May, and believes that a bout against Khan wouldn't pull in the numbers as 'no one knows who Amir Khan is'.

A potential 100 million purse vs (Pacquiao) vs one of say 40 mill plus (Khan), not Rocket science as to which one you should take!

Khan will never understand the fans want to see Floyd v Manny, he would be much better off fighting Brook, Thurman or Bradley but I think he'll swerve these guys and fight at a lower level doing himself no favours. He said he didn't have to fight Alexander , that he could have taken an easier fight...WHO ?..Just fight and stop making a laughing stock of yourself.
A good tactical win is now being tarnish by your silly behaviour.

Khan is starting to get on my nerves! Okay, Ortiz was a tune up fight coming off of a long layoff for floyd. He was at the ortiz vs berto fight saw ortiz go to work on a previously unbeatten berto and he got excited. He came back to the sport. Ortiz was riding a wave and beat what was considered a top welterweight at the time. Maidana made a fool out of Broner who was being held as the next mayweather. Not to mention the social media buzz that whole next week on Twitter facebook and instagram. Khan is coming off a knock out loss to Garcia, a robbery but still a loss tp peterson, and a lackluster performance against Julio Diaz. His name is hurting right now. He's a draw in Britain but so is elton john that doesnt mean theyre relevant. Beating Alexander who still has Porter problems doesnt get you floyd. He needs to fight more actual welterweights and not hang on to his accomplishments at 140 Thurman, Matthysse, Bradley, Pacquiao, Porter or maybe even call out broner and whoop his ass then he mighy get that push for a mayweather clash.

                  That doesn't matter to Floyd.

Pacquiao whom the fans have wanted to see him fight for years now was bigger than Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana, Canelo, Marquez, and anyone else he can fight including Khan.

Hasn't made the fight happened yet though.

He's right, but it doesn't matter. He's not as big as Pacquiao. It's not even close.
