Have your friends got a clue about boxing?

Most posters on here don't know **** about boxing, what do you expect from casual fans?

I was just scrolling down a friends page on FB and the boxing chat he was having with some other guy,fu.ck me he has no clue.

A little example of his dumbness.

Thurman vs GGG would be a close fight as Thurman is a brilliant boxer

Shiiiit, I know f**k all about boxing and I follow it closely! How could I expect my mates to know!

Some of them know a little but none are into the sport really.

I run into fans often but usually they only know the big names and have no idea who beat who.

Absolutely not. I have 1 friend that knows a little. Another that knows a little more than a little. But the vast majority of them know about as much as my 6 year old. He knows that "Floyd Mayweather makes a lot of money because he hasn't been beaten"

He also assures me that "I bet Floyd Mayweather could beat you"

Most are casual, but readily admit it. I can respect that. I have a few that know their shet pretty well. My biggest gripe is when people pretend to know boxing. I guess it's cool to act like you know boxing I guess.

This guy asked me, "So you think Mayfield (meaning Mayweather) will beat Pacquiao in a rematch." And then there's the classic Bradley/Mayweather mix up which seems to happen a lot. This other guy tried to convince me for about 10 minutes that Floyd and Pac have already fought because he saw Manny in the ring with a "bald, black guy."
