I've never met anyone who watches boxing nevermind understands in any depth.

closest i've come is a friend of a friend knowing a few names...but it was limited to British fighters.



When Froch Groves 2 came around alot of people I know watched it...but only because it was a decently big sporting event...not like any them even watched or cared about the first fight.

Most people I know are hardcore NBA and NFL fans.

They know nothing about Boxing.

They all think Mike Tyson is still fighting, one told me he thinks Mayweather could have beat Mike Tyson, don't even know there is a such thing as a weight class or what one means.

I once had a guy try to talk boxing and he argued that Manny Pacquiao could have easily beat Ali in his prime....

I just dunno.

Several of my closest friends are hardcore boxing fans, so we are able to have good discussion on the sport. but i know far more people who don't care about boxing unless the fighter/s are...

1) American Heavyweight
2) Mayweather
3) nationalistic/ethnic kin
