Does Floyd deserve to be #1 lb for lb?

I for one think Floyd is probably the most skilled fighter in the world today, but his failure to fight the best at his current and last division have me questioning his status in most lb for lb lists. No doubt Floyd was the best at 130 and 135 but he is now a welter weight. Is he as fast, as strong, or as durable at this weight as he was at his previous weights(130-35)? Is he the best fighter in the world at this weight? I think most lists that have him #1 are speculatory. He needs to proove himself.

everyone needs to prove themselves tho. bottom line, floyd has incredible skills, is undefeated, has beaten very good opposition in his career, and has moved up 17 pounds since the beginning of his career, yet is still dominant. yes, he deserves to be p4p #1

I don't see all this **** about him ducking people I mean **** he just got there give him time. Yeah I think he is pound for pound based only on his pervious fights not the last one with gatti because people are saying he ain't nothign but a B level fighter which hurts cause he is my favorite fighter.

The guy has already proven himself that's why he is on top of the p4p list.

He has fought in 4 different divisions and remained unbeaten, isn't that already a proof?.

            Absolutely.

I see your point as he should be making a fight with a real name fighter soon but........because he's number one pound for pound, other fighters should be bending over backwards trying to get a fight with him. Not the other way around.

Why should the number 1 pound for pound fighter in the world have to chase someone else for a fight? It doesn't make sense.

Floyd is without a doubt not #1 P4P. Until he gets some balls and faces Elite competition, he's just a ghost in the #1 spot on many people's list. Don't let his talent and skills fool you. He's just showing casing these on weaker opposition rather than taking on what people consider the best. I'd say Floyd is #3 or 4.
