So we finally get the top 147 fighters to face each other and leaving Floyd and Pac to fight each other?

This is like having to Pit bulls kill each other in a dog fight while the winner fights the fresh rested dog

You idiot Ward was part of the 168 tournament it was Bute that did not enter the tournament..

No way Pacquiao is entered in this by Bob Arum.

But it is the way that boxing should be, we need to know the LEADERS a weight class, and therefore you have a true LINEAL champ.

With or without Floyd this is the way Boxing should work.

I must say, one simply cannot question the excessive intelligence governing the sport! If you cannot mandate your champions to fight the deserved challenger, use thy intelligence!

none. By the time the tournament is through, Floyd would already have completed his Showtime deal, would be almost 40, and would be looking at MAYBE having one more possible fight.

If the tournament does what it's supposed to do, the WBC would emerge with two established champions, who have hopefully impressed enough over their three fights to garner some solid attention in their own rights.

I'm done with boxing if this fight doesnt get made when both fighters want it and agree with terms, Manny agrees to whatever floyd wants 60-40 but some promoters are gonna shoot it down for.....

Know any good mma sites? cause its time to embrace something different
I'm following you over to the mma sites. I can sc**** by boycotting certain fighters but not the promoters. No point in following this sport after they kill the fight we want on the boxer's behalf.

Way too many obstacles for this to happen, networks, promoters willing to pit their top guys against another. This also imo can hurt careers and cash cows imo, so i dont believe this will ever happen.
-Arum isn't going to put Pacquiao into three fights that he doesn't control and Marquez doesn't seem to be all that interested in committing himself to participating in three non-title fights in a row; Timothy Bradley seems game to fight whoever, but I doubt that Arum lets him participate.

-Brook is the IBF champion and has a platform that is beyond being thrown into a tournament format to "earn his stripes".

-Oscar De La Hoya seems to not have a single top 20 welterweight tied directly to his company, sans Sadam Ali. Oscar may end up promoting some of the shows, but that doesn't mean he comes with much say.

If Al Haymon is on board with the idea, I don't see how the 47 tournament doesn't happen.

154 is a bit more muddled, but still doable.

Top fighter?! You don't even know what fighters would participate in this proposed tournament.

It's a waste of time and in the end the winner is NOT guaranteed a shot at Mayweather or Pacquiao as the proposal SUGGESTS.
