Why not have Fury fight the WBC winner for the strap around May time and winner fights Wlad in a unification around summer after Wlad deals with Jennings...?

Fury, why don't you fight Ustinov? You talk about ducking, and you ducked Ustinov yourself, you big wanker.Originally posted by -Weltschmerz- View PostVlad isn't vacating anything. He wants to be unified champion and get that WBC strap. He will fight the winner of Stiverne-Wilder next summer/fall.
Wlad wants to be the undisputed, unified heavyweight champ. I think he will fight Jennings, then the winner of Stiverne/Wilder. He will probably then retire without facing Fury, who he knows is the most dangerous of all his possible challengers.

Even though nobody would expect it, Wilder could probably follow the Fury-Chisora blueprint against Stiverne.
He seems to have the height, reach, and speed to keep the shorter and slower Stiverne at bay all night.
Stiverne only looked good in his last two fights because Arreola is a medium speed brawler who fights in close quarters.

If Wilder tried the stick-and-move tactic, Stiverne would probably retreat and try to draw him in, rather than charging after him the way Chisora did against Fury.
