Well same can be said Garcia? Except for Salka who took a bad no-look left hook like Khan.

Brook doesn't throw that kind of left hook, but his straight right has knocked guys out and down before. Obviously it's hard to say a name because everyone he's fought other than Porter aren't that good. But he's also fought some big welterweights like Hatton, Senchenkho and Jones. Garcia has been facing light welterweights and often guys who were coming up from 130 or 135.

I didn't really say Brook was a 1 punch KO guy. But neither is Garcia really.
Garcia cleaned out Morales with the hook. Khan never really recovered from that hook. It's an extremely powerful shot. If he lands clean with that shot, he either cleans you out or drops you like a sack of ****.

Don't see any punch that Brook throws that has the same effect.

Let's not bring Morales into this. Or whoever it was Garcia fought the second time. Overweight, out of shape and gone from being El Terrible to just being plan terrible.

It's a powerful shot, sure. But it hasn't knocked out any full fledged welterweight. There's also a reason Brook doesn't throw a shot like that, and it's because it's not very technically good. Whether Garcia throws a right or a left hook his other hand drops instantly and he closes his eyes or looks away. He might get power on it, but he's right open for a counter.

Garcia is a good puncher. I fully agree. I just think it's very debatable whether he hits harder than Brook.

      • Khan has no chance against the brother.

        Brother would whoop that boy.

I was disappointed when Brook fought Porter he should have fought Khan.

        Brother's shouldn't fight.

That Morales was better than 98% of Brook's opponents and that's not the point. He got absolutely wiped out by that shot.

Well whatever the reason Brook doesn't throw a shot like that, he doesn't and he doesn't generate that type of power from any shot.

Whether it's good technique or not, it's effective especially against Khan. That's why I've always picked Khan in this fight. Brook is almost too technical a boxer to beat Khan. You need to punch with Khan and Brook doesn't do that and he doesn't pressure either.

yeah, i agree. khan feasts on boxers like brook. his unusual hand and foot speed makes him nigh unbeatable at long range. although i could perhaps envision brook taking a step back and landing a sort of pull-counter while khan tries to unload one of those naive combinations, which i noticed he was still doing even in the alexander fight. but generally i feel that khan has the style advantage in this fight. i would give maidana a better chance of beating khan in a rematch, even though i feel brook would beat maidana.

              • If this happens, every point I have on Brook.

I think he will go through him easily.

Fine you can have it with me. I feel Brooks power is extremely over rated he doesn't have that one punch KO power required to floor khan, he usually hurts opponents (none at world level) through accumulation over time. He also doesn't have the style to throw with Khan like Garcia did and this was against the Roach Khan. I think Khan would do to Brook what he did to Alexander, the difference is that Brook is slower and nowhere near as proven as Alexander at the world stage. Khan already has Brooks number during the amatuers, he knows he will school him.
