But its true...nobody that is supposedly "elite" wants anything to do with him. The one hope is that Canelo will take the challenge although if Canelo-Cotto is a good fight, you can almost guarantee there will be a rematch because Golovkin "doesn't make financial sense", which is not even true anymore.

When Ward and Lara accepted Team GGGs bold statement of "we'll fight anyone from 154-168", all of a sudden Team GGG acted like they didn't say it. This fight is nothing more than another lamb to slaughter and team GGG is already trying to make Andy Lee sound like a credible opponent. I agree with the previous posted in that GGG certainly passes the eye test and may certainly be the goods, but why the hesitation to fight a credible opponent. Same thing can be said of M Garcia, P Quillen and many others. But its true...nobody that is supposedly "elite" wants anything to do with him. Murray is certainly a more credible middleweight opponent than Lara is. If he were to beat up Lara people would say "oh look GGG beat another junior middleweight!"When Ward and Lara accepted Team GGGs bold statement of "we'll fight anyone from 154-168", all of a sudden Team GGG acted like they didn't say it. Murray at least is a middleweight who many thought beat Sergio Martinez in his home, so this is the best possible opponent available for Triple G while he waits for his crack at the WBC belt.
As for Andy Lee, I think they care more about his belt than anything else. Unifying the division has always been a goal of GGG, he's always made that clear. Doesn't matter who has the belts he just wants them all.Comment

Ward didnt accept any challenge, his trainer said he had nothing to do with any emails to HBO and would want a couple of tuneups first. Lara is with Haymon and cant get on Hbo, as theyre well aware of:When Ward and Lara accepted Team GGGs bold statement of "we'll fight anyone from 154-168", all of a sudden Team GGG acted like they didn't say it. Manager Luis DeCubas Jr. confirmed to BoxingScene.com that Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12KOs), the WBA's interim-junior middleweight champion, is ready and willing to move up in weight to face the WBA/IBO champion at 160-pounds, Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (29-0, 26KOs). On Saturday, Lara took to the social networks to call for a fight with Golovkin, who returns to HBO on April 26th at The Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City. DeCubas spoke to Lara on Sunday, and during the conversation his fighter asked him to get Golovkin.
"HBO would have to speak to Lara's advisor Al Haymon, but we are very happy fighting on Showtime."
In other words, I want GGG but not next, as those t shirts sayComment

This is true. However, I'd still much rather see GGG fight Lara than Martin Murray.Murray is certainly a more credible middleweight opponent than Lara is. If he were to beat up Lara people would say "oh look GGG beat another junior middleweight!"
