Naw - that performance should open the door to opponents that where leary of fighting him. It's sad the lack of education these fans have ! Thurman impressed the hell out of me, he fought a disciplined fight! The guy he fought was an Olympian with a hey jerk style, almost impossible to look good against - similar to Rios vs Abril - but we all thought Rio lost, and Thurman still dominated and swept the fight - gotta check out the dimensions in his game. Nothing bad directed towards you, just added my 2 cents after replying to your initial post...

How about the fact that Thurman knocked out an undefeated Diego Chavez, who made Brandon Rios cry and just fought Bradley to a draw. No credit there huh. But all these people claim to be knowledgeable about boxing.

Brook's resume is probably worst then Thurman's, can somebody tell me why Brook got the shot against Porter? Its because Brook is not perceived as the threat that Thurman is. Brook and Thurman have arguably the same fame and Thurman is way more popular in America. When someone like Mayweather, Pac, Cotto says there is no money in an opponent, that is an argument that can be defended, but when someone like Brook says it, it can not be defended, because Brook himself doesnt bring much money or a major fan base himself, which is why they are chasing Khan so hard.
You just answered your own question. They're chasing Khan because there's far more money in that fight than there is Thurman. There's really **** all to gain from fighting Thurman right now.

And what is there to gain from fighting Brook? Brook is seen as less of a threat so he is going to get more fights it has nothing to do with money because Brook does not bring those things himself.

Exactly. Thats what im saying why is that? Maybe because he is not viewed to be as dangerous as the man he lost to. Its a joke.

And while we are on the subject Guerrero turned down the fight saying he wasnt offered enough money then went on to fight somebody for even less money. LOL im calling B.S. on all these excuses. These fighters are not fighting Thurman because he is to much of a threat not because he doesnt bring enough money. Do you really think Haymon's not offering good money to these guys?

It's both. Thurman is obviously a threat but he brings *** all money compared to a Khan or Marquez fight which will be Brook's main priorities and rightfully so.

Please tell me what the point of fighting Thurman is. To please 6 or 7 forum dwellers?

Rightfully so? please tell me what Brook has done to deserve nothing but big money fights? He defeated one person and Brook also brings nothing to the table. Please stop talking about Brook like he is some cash cow, he deserves big fights as much as Thurman does. He hasnt beaten the best in the division, he is not the best in the division, he hasn't earned the right to pick and choose who he fights based on money, Brook got a chance because he is perceived as a non threat, he doesnt bring money or fan base yet he got a shot, and im sure he will get another for the same reasons.
