Maybe he did out hustle the other guy, who tended to lapse into momentary laziness. But the other guy did look more polished. Draw would have been fair.

What would have been fair is not to put Benavidez who had never never been past six against a skilled veteran. And just because he had some glimpses when he looked very good and will potentially down the line be the better boxer doesn't mean he should win a fight he lost.

People wanted Herrera to win. That's it. If fighters started being rewarded for throwing a thousand blocked punches, people here would be up in arms. Look at the way they treat Calzaghe for throwing light punches.

He got robbed plain and simple and you can't talk it away with some fancy bs of why he didn't get robbed You are certainly entitled to your opinion but be aware that you are part of a tiny minority who think the decision was fair and correct. I think I speak for the vast majority of boxing fans who think Herrera was ROBBED BIG TIME.

Just caught the fight for the first time. Although I read about the "robbery" before seeing it, why was Kellerman and the rest already bringing up the idea that Herrera could get robbed tonight. They brought it up a few times during the fight.

I don't know, I'm just skeptical but I felt they knew the judges were gonna lean towards Benevidez.

I scored it 8-4 for Herrera. Closest round(s) were probably round 7, 11, and 12. It is possible to score it a draw.. its possible you could of given 7-5 for Benevidez, but I think it was closer to a draw than a clear cut Benevidez victory.

Had Benevidez had more activity in the first four rounds it would of been easier to give him a win.

Hard pill to swallow but Benavidez dad who is in the corner told Herrera that his son lost and that Herrera won the fight

Losing a fight as a young fighter doesn't automatically doesn't mean you're "ass" as you so eloquently stated. It's not all black and white man learn to be more insightful. Benavidez made a huge jump in class and showed he is a very skilled fighter. Rounds 4-6 he showed the potential many people see in him, Kellerman and Roy Jones pointed that out and I value their opinion at a higher scale than yours. Herrera being a good fighter adjusted and was able to take his momentum away by constantly changing up his approach.

Benavidez was accustomed to facing straight fastballs and in this instance he went up against a guy with a wide arsenal of pitches. Say what you want about Herrera not being great, but I can't think of many guys who are more complete fighters than he is. Not saying I can't think of better fighters simply saying there are few guys who show a more complete array of traits inside the ring.He can do it all inside and out, jabs to the body and upstairs as well as putting together combinations. Defensively he'll also throw a wide variety of looks at you. The guys can flat out fight so it comes as no surprise a guy accustomed to facing one dimensional fighters will look vulnerable at times against a complete fighter like Herrera.

His dad told him he needed a KO to win.

                    Naw...Worse Than Robbery!

Herrera Fell Victim To Pure Corruption In Boxing...don't be fooled by Oscar, Arum or who ever playing us for a FOOL acting like "THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE SCORING" and "THEY DISAGREED WITH THE SCORE" Blah Blah Blah they KNEW this is what it was going to be BEFORE THE 1st BELL!

Herrera was the SACRIFICIAL LAMB to a young fighter who HBO and Bob Arum has extremely High Hopes For going into the future. Come on I knew about Jose Benevidez when he was only 16-17 years old, did we honestly think they was going to let this kid lose his first big step up fight?

It has already been Written that Arum was going to make Jose Benevidez A SUPERSTAR! No ***in Way they was going to allow Herrera to Ruin That!

Benavidez is your 2nd favorite fighter and maybe that is why you think he won. He has the potential to be a much better fighter than Herrera but he fought a ****** fight by laying on the ropes while Herrera pounded away on him in many rounds. A few Bradley fans thought Bradley won the first Pacquiao fight. They were wrong and I think you are wrong but your fighter got the win so be happy.
