    "Hererra got robbed"

that what i keep seeing and hearing. tell me how? When herrera had benavidez on the ropes he was hitting elbows and gloves ! no clean shots were landed! if you look at Compubox benavidez had the higher percentage in every category. So check the facts and rewatch the fight before you call roberry and listen to the biasedness of HBO . Herrea did have a high work rate but accuracy was low and threw a bunch of meaningless shots. Crisp cleaner punches were from benavidez . Grant it benavidez didnt look amazing which i expected that since Herrera awkward style does that to everyone .

Personally I could have easily seen this fight as a draw. I thought the first half of the fight was clearly 3 rounds a piece with Herrera winning the first three and Benavidez the latter 3. The second half were more swing rounds but I believe I had Herrera winning 4 of those rounds. Basically I had it 7-5 Herrera but could've seen it as a draw.

If we're using the Shostats the difference in punches landed(35 difference for Herrera) comes as a result of the first three rounds where Benavidez looked lost and confused. The first 3 rounds Herrera outlanded Benavidez by close to 50 total punches.

It's a shame the scorecards were so wide though because it was a fascinating fight, quite possibly the best fight of this weekend. Benavidez showed flashes of developing into a great fighter hopefully this will be a learning experience for his development. Herrera is such a pleasure to watch, one of the most exciting even though he lacks punching power. He can do it all, one of the most complete fighters in the sport.

That's funny because i've been reading the opposite now, and the "it wasn't a robbery, Benavidez won" talk has become the current trend so don't act like you're original when you're just wrong.

Pretty much totally agree with this. I scored it a draw but it could have been 7-5 either way with very few complaints.

7 rounds... List the 7 rounds you gave Benavidez if in fact you had him winning.

            TS loves benavidez

No-one on press row had benavidez winning.....

Your opinion is not right when it's outweighed by 99% of people

                Nice insightful break-down sir

Benavidez gave a good account of himself against one of the most complete fighters in the sport, and the best fighter in his division. Dude went straight to fighting the best after a series of fights against lower level opposition. He's still a work in progress, but the majority of the mistakes he made are correctable such as staying off the ropes and lowering his chin as Roy Jones stated. A fight that will benefit his growth and the fact he was extremely competitive means he's got a bright future ahead of himself.

Getting unjust victories does not make a fighter better. Losing does. Losing makes you work harder and improve. That clown actually thinks he won the fight. He is overrated. I saw nothing special. He'll get sparked the second he faces someone with power. I love Herrera, but if you think Herrera is something great, you are kidding yourself.
