Was Bradley robbed yesterday?

I didn't even wait to hear the scorecards because I assumed Bradley won something like 116-112. Thought it was a clear win for Bradley, but Chaves did some good work too it's just that Bradley did more and landed the better shots in more of the rounds. I only found out it was a draw the next day on this forum. Not the worst robbery I've seen by a long way but still unfair on Bradley.

For some reason I felt like there could a controversial decision coming towards the end of this one. The rounds the HBO crew were unanimously awarding to Bradley in the first half of the fight weren't as clear cut as they were making out. I was giving them to Bradley too but I could see an argument for them going the other way.

It seems like Julie Lederman just gave every close round to Chaves though. Even if you only had Tim winning 4 rounds clearly, you would normally expect him to pick up a least a couple of the other 8.

To give him none of them is nuts.

I thought Bradley won, but people shouldn't cry corruption until ineptitude has been ruled out. I think there were more close rounds than people are acknowledging too.

Probably worth watching it with the commentary off, especially given how biased the HBO team are in Bradley's favour. Roy loves Tim more than mathed and Monica Bradley put together.

Bradley clearly won and the ONLY reason why it seemed closer than it was a..was because of the swollen eye.

Rematch is not necessary...I hope Arum doesn't go this route.

What was Arum's motive to screw his second best welterweight out of a win over a fringe contender? It's not like the rematch is a hot attraction. or Chaves has a large fan base he wants to tap.

A fighter's value is based largely on his record so if he can preserve Chaves' record while not badly diminishing Bradley's, he can make it come off as if Chaves was equally competitive with a higher caliber boxer. He probably has plans to pit Chaves in a rematch with Bradley or Rios. If Chaves had lost a UD, then he becomes a meaningless opponent but now, it looks like he gave Bradley all he could handle and went neck and neck with him.

In reality, he was competitive but clearly lost to the better fighter.

Because he's a tough fight for anyone and can pretty much "hang" or at least make it ugly with the best of them... He (Arum) can now run a mini round robin between Rios,Bradley and Chaves as they all have unfinished business. That should tie them guys up till at least 2016. In other words Bradley/Rios are NEVER fighting anyone that's not under the Top Rank umbrella.
