Someone needs to explain to me why a Black guy HAS TO fight a Filipino on a Mexican holiday. If Floyd is really serious about fighting Manny and isn't just using his name to scare off Canelo/Cotto from that date so he can fight another handpicked plodder like he planned all along... then he wouldn't give 2 ****s if the fight happens on a random Tuesday morning in October. May 2nd isn't some make or break date for that fight, it's irrelevant.

But here you are insinuating that every major promoter in Boxing got together to help Arum avoid the fight he's been negotiating with the head of CBS for weeks.

It is fact that Pacquiao is known more (way more that is) than Mayweather, outside of any English-speaking countries in the world, specially outside the US and Canada. And it is also fact that, again, for people from non-native speaking countries in the world, Pacquiao is and has been for more than a decade, the #1 P4P boxer in the world, in spite of that highway robbery he suffered vs. Bradley and that unthinkable knockout loss vs. Marquez, as well as his somewhat poor showings vs. Marquez himself, which is obviously his nemesis, everybody has one and I'm sure Pac is Floyd's, but the latter is such a huge coward he looks for any financial or any other kind of excuse to dismiss fighting the most dangerous man he can ever fight. Oh, and also, everybody knows he is not undefeated, he lost to both Castillo, in their 1st meeting, and to De La Hoya, whom Pacquiao easily dismantled, same as other common foes such as Cotto and Mosley, the only exception being Marquez, which was an idiot for accepting to fight a much heavier, much bigger and leaner Floyd in top shape, at two divisions above Marquez's real weight division at that time. Marquez fought Pac in his very top shape, whereas he fought Floyd in his worst shape ever and two divisions above his real division, but still Floyd was unable to win by KO, under such unfairly advantageous circumstances. Almost any top fighter would have knocked Marquez out.

Why do you guys act like a Mexican Holiday is the only time Pac-Floyd can happen? .

I agree it can even happen on a Friday and it'll still do big numbers. The reason why Floyd likes the first Saturday of May is becuz its a huge betting day with it having the Kentucky Derby. Especially in Vegas. Its a money betting day.

Honestly I just wanna see Floyd fight Pacquiao in May just to see what Oscar and Canelo plan on doing with their May date when that fight gets SWALLOWED UP by Mayweather vs Pacquiao

Until all parties involved sit down and negotiate terms on good faith than their is nothing to look forward to. Mayweather can call out Pac on air and throw more roadblocks up, Arum can be pessimistic post fight, Pac can sit back and quote to Asian media, NSB posters can speculate and throw barbs. Reality is probability was low for the fight to begin with, how is that hard to see?

I don't get why African Americans take everything so personal. People trash de la Hoya all the time and I never seen a Mexican or mexican American get defensive. If someone said something against TMT the feel some type of way, like he is MLK or something. I don't get it. If the fight ever gets made, I got mayweather by UD. CBS wants the fight that's all that matters. Bob is smart he bypassed Espinoza, Al Haymon and Showtime going straight to CBS. Cotto Canelo put more pressure on TMT they can't get away with a Maidana or Guerrero type of fighter. Calling cotta gives Cotto more leverage against Canelo, Canelo needs Cotto more than Cotto Canelo, Cotto's people be like, these are the terms or we fighting Mayweather. Im sure that Cotto will make more being the A side against Canelo than the B side against Floyd, that minimum of 32 millions makes it hard and Cotto's number are way down. Someone please explain to me why should a British of Pakistani descent or a Filipino must fight an African American on May 2.

The only explanation is that the black guy does not really want to fight the Filipino. The black duck quacks out the Filipino but then places a huge obstacle for the fight to happen. the black duck does not want to fight. The sad thing is there are still a small but dwindling minority of floydiots that quacks with the black duck. But that's understandable from a Darwinian standpoint. As long as these floydiots remain a minority, the human species survives.
