"Khan make US fans believe he is big in the UK and he make UK fans believe he is Big In The US"

    true!

bautista, like a lot of young asian boxers in uk, probably does look to khan as a role model and consider him "the face of british boxing".

the britsh boxing public would probably consider froch no1, then maybe tyson fury then khan. all three have their fans and their critics.

I think some may even have George Groves higher than Khan.

Says more about the sad state of British boxing than it does about Khan.

Froch is head and shoulders above all other UK boxers, it's not even close

we are only a small country, yet we still push above our weight

                khan
                brook
                fury
                haye
                groves
                degale
                murray
                jousha
                frampton
                froch

                list goes on

boxing is not a mainstream sport here, we are doing pretty well, if boxing is a sad state here, then i dont know how u feel about other countries, cuz they sure aint doing much better..

It's hard to use the size of the country as an excuse when half of your top fighters are obviously of recent non-British origin anyway.

And I would say it's "mainstream" by most standards -- you have a dedicated boxing channel and Froch-Groves filled 80,000 seats?

However Khan is not the best British fighter so it's all moot. He is OK, receives disproportionate attention for his superficial speed, training with Manny/Roach, and being in the diva division.

                    very true.

i think in US khan is more well known than froch, and should be as he has fought there many times and is promoted by golden boy. maybe in the states he would be considered "the face of british boxing"?

                    in UK it's carl froch.
