Rigondeaux is TOO overrated!

What has he achieved?

He was a great amateur? Yes, but this is professional boxing, he must prove himself to be a good professional boxer. Which he hasn't done.

He is undefeated? Yes, but who did he fight? Nonito, Sod and next fight - Hisashi. All Asian boxers who lost when they stepped up in opposition.

Rigo has yet to prove himself at world level. Now, I see him as a very skilled boxer, but who is old, small, got average power and not exactly a Froch-chin. Rigo is an Asian level fighter, until he proves otherwise.

Nicholas Walters showed how Nonito should be handled, why don't Rigo step up in class and fight Nicholas Walters? If Rigo were to win (which he wouldn't), he would go from Asian level to World level.

Get him out of your P4P lists until he fights Walters, he doesn't belong there right now.

I agree, he is a great fighter but you cant live off one win forever, look at ward trying to live off his Froch victory that didnt work, look at khan trying to live off some win from 2011 that aint work, now look at rigo trying to live off his win against nonito it aint working.

Those who did so don't know anything about boxing. Nonito is overrated, he was never a true P4P top 10.


When Nonito fought an above-average fighter, Rigo, he lost.
