    there was no 50/50 in 2012. after the first negotiation fell apart, the 50/50 was off the table.

    ESPN reported on January 20, 2012, that Mayweather called Pacquiao on the telephone and spoke directly with him in the Philippines. "He ask about a 50/50split and I told him no that can't happen, but what can happen is you can make more money fighting me then you have made in your career," Mayweather said.

        That's Koncz saying his side doesn't have a problem splitting it 50-50, not Floyd's.

            The sad thing is that this fight will sell 1-2 or even more years from today, but if it doesn't happen next year the luster will really shine off. I think for the first time Mayweather will lose a sizable portion of his buying public if he fights Khan next, or anyone not named Pacquiao.

              The question I have is this, even if Floyd wanted to make the fight (and I don't think he does, possibly due to Haymon advice) would he even be able to if Haymon refused to sanction it?
              I have no idea what goes on in Haymon's mind. His fighters have passed up career high paydays and are inactive. What he has been doing doesn't even make business sense unless he has something planned for next year.

                why did floyd turn down this offer doe?

                "he offered Manny $40 million", said Koncz.

                "There was no discussion of the back end. However, our counter offer to Floyd Mayweather was a $50 million guarantee, plus the overage on the pay per view would be split 45 percent to 55 percent, with the winner getting 55 percent.***8221;

                    Pacquiao released a statement saying - “I don’t have problems getting a guarantee because I have a promoter who will give me my guaranteed purse. If he gets a guarantee, then we are going to share the revenue on a 50-50 basis.”

                    So the 50/50 offer was there.

                      Forward to the 5:50 mark. Floyd talks about how he offered Pac a flat $40mil with NO PPV SPLIT. This was in 2012.
