What skills did Roy have? All he had were speed and reflexes. As soon as those started to fade, he lost.

Golovkin has the sort of style that could perhaps have defeated Jones in his prime, no doubt that if he landed good he could put Jones away. The problem is that in his prime Jones was ridiculously hard to land clean on.

1994 Roy Jones vs Current Golovkin?

I don't think its unreasonable to think Golovkin COULD knock him out. I don't thinK Roy at that time has ever faced a puncher anywhere as powerful as Golovkin, who has dynamite in both hands apparently.

The speed difference will be shocking, Roy could take it all the way. He's very athletic, but he's still boxing. Golovkin could knock Roy Jones Jr. out, but he's going to eat a ton of leather. Roy could dance around and have you 180 while he's still throwing a combination.

Golovkin would have to KO Roy late. I see GGG (or anyone else) adjusting to Roy's style and speed taking quite some rounds and by the time they're covering that extra inch they might have accumulated too much damage, but GGG is willing to punch with a guy so who knows.

Seriously? the guy was incredible, he had a lot of power at middleweight and he also had timing, ridiculous footwork, mad angles/insane combinations etc etc etc

Also for a long long time Roy showed he could remain elusive and explosive for a full hard 12 rounds, I don't think GGG would be able to catch him but his timing and ability to cut off the ring would give him a chance
