I agree with that. Calling Jones jr .the greatest ever is over the top. But he was still better than Golovkin.

              I think it's swing and a miss.

GGG's gotta' secure some fights with real opposition before I won't reject such ideas out of hand.

And even then, I'd probably reject the idea completely out of hand.

I mean he has to clean out 168 (including Andre Ward) and 175 and even then...

Not to diminish the potential greatness of tripGs, but RJJ...it's a tough row to hoe.

When you put someone on a pedestal and try to make someone untouchable from comparisons and respond with disdain it doesn't really do the debate any favours.

We're all human at the end of the day its 1v1, Roy Jones Jr was proven to have used steroids and other illegal substances yet that is never brought up with regards to his boxing career but yet it is brought into question with Lance Armstrong?

Then other notable mentions which seem to get ignored but they get tonnes of praise on here, Salido, James Toney, Shane Mosley and there likely has been many more that have been users of the drugs but luckily we have organisations like USADA to protect them now.

Why the bias, all I ask.

We have the current and we have the past and If we as boxing fans continue to **** on every single new era that passes what does that say about us as fans?

When did half the people Jones fought get inducted into the HOF?
We could say the same **** you're saying about GGG that I could turn around and say about Roy Jones in the prime of his career.

The point is nobody appreciates what they have until its gone, perhaps nationalism has something to do with it we all know that If their isn't a great American talent people will want to berate a division or they will try to match the guy with someone above the weight division who isn't even active aka Andre Ward.

Before bringing up names like James Toney, Roy Jones Jr., Hopkins..

let's at least see him get past Andre Ward first.
