Hagler seems to get the majority of the votes for having the greatest chin of the more modern era and rightfully so, because the quality of it was on display on numerous occasions against some real killers at Middleweight. But the likes of Salvador Sanchez, Juan Laporte, Mike McCallum, Saoul Mamby, etc., also deserve at least a mention because they proved on countless occasions that they also possesed chins of the highest quality.

Just a few more names worthy of being included on someone's top five "great chins" list, which considering the amount of great chins over the last 25 years, is a ranking that would be extremely hard to compile with some semblance of accuracy.

Thanks for giving Mike McCallum a mention...he definitely possessed a great chin.

Another guy who deserves mention would be the great Azumah Nelson.

Best list by far in this thread. I would also add Toney.

I guess you haven't seen alot of fights from Toney. Great chin, no doubt about it. He can even take a great punch, even in the HW, considering his prime was at middleweight.
