Didn't Steve Kim migrate to Boxingscene? I heard something a month or two ago but haven't seen any articles with his name on them

Max boxing was the best before, I remember all those videos they had up, they were the first ones to cover these up and coming boxers, they had early video footage of Valero, Linares, and Pacquiao. They had some dope videos of Pacquiao and Valero back in the early 2000's. I remember they had sparring footage of PAc at 122 doing a rotation with Izzy Vasquez and several others, I think they also had footage of Guerrero and Pac. The most memorable footage was when Valero nearly knocked Urbano Antillons head off that was one of the hardest punches I seen, surprised Urbano never went out cold even with the headgear on.

I think STeven Kim was the first to call Manny Pacquiao Pacman, I think they sold the site to seconds out or some other entity.

But most boxing sites are dead, I think traffic disappeared due to a google algorithim search change, all I see now when I type up searches for boxers are Badlefthook, bloody elbow, and espn, and content farm sites badlefthook and bloodyelbow just keep spamming recycled news from Boxingscene and other outlets yet outrank them.

I have no clue why google changed their search, but it used to be so easy for me to type a search and find what I am looking for now the first pages are irrelevant articles from big news sites that just have a keyword.

I think the problem with MAxboxing is they charged you to be a member, didnt you have to pay to use the forum and access the videos?

I loved watching Steve and Dougie do their prefight shows.

Montoya is a blowhard who thinks he is a drug expert and the greatest actor in the world but we have yet to see any of his work.

Steve Kim works for UCNLive. I agree with others though, that it just wasnt the same once Dougie left. I used to follow them since House of Boxing days pre- Maxboxing. I loved to read Dougie, Steve and Michael Katz grumpy ass as well.

I remember I was a member when they had the $5 monthly membership and they shipped you a free tshirt. Unfortunately it as an XXL shirt.

          RIP Maxboxing.

You need very good content to justify a paywall in boxing. Too many alternatives otherwise.

It must be tough for these guys to earn a living. Has to be a little sickening for them when they look back at the status boxing writers used to have.

lol yeah the xxxl shirt. They sent me one in navy everlast maxboxing search xxxl it was like a pajama.

Dougie left and it started going down hill, but can you blame dougie? he got a well paying steady income job with The Ring and also commentator on Fox boxing shows.

The next round was my favorite show, Steve and Dougie were the best duo.

Facebook also killed the message board, nobody posts on message boards anymore and message board traffic is dead, they have facebook boxing groups now and people can just post on random articles with their facebook log in and it gives them an alert when someone replies so they have convos that way.

I personally like Message boards better

Not to mention the absurd amount of outright plagiarism on places like Bleacher Report and even other sites exclusive to boxing/combat sports.

BLACKBALLED as expected since the Mayweather "3 Failed Drug Test That USADA COVERED UP" Allegations. I knew that would be the end of them after that.

I like Radio Rahim interviews though!

Kim leaving was just the end.

When i think Maxboxing I think Doug Fischer and Steve Kim, with one it was ok but not the same. With neither it is just some place.
That's how I felt too. Used to like that site and the tidbits of info it had
