He's not, he's trying to go above Floyd to the head of CBS to force Showtime into making the fight.

It won't work, because if Haymon doesn't want it, he'll pull every trick in the book for it not to happen.

I feel bad for Chavez. He may be a lazy weed head, but at least he is trying to take control of his career and leave Bob like ODH and Floyd did. Unfortunately for him Bo is a very smart and shrewd lawyer who will not make it easy to leave.

I can understand not wanting to sign an extension either just to get one fight. At this point, Chavez needs to just give Bob the fight he owes him, no matter how poor the pay, and move on. Don't waste your career like Ward seems to be doing.

Jr. is completely at fault here, no one else. He had one more fight to give TR before his contract expired. The best paydays were offered with fight extensions, the smaller paydays that are still above his minimum contract fee, come with no extension. Jr. signed a contract and agreed he would fight for TR as long as they paid his minimum fee, they never backed out of this deal, only Jr. did.

Jr. easily could've got a great pay day, and also seen the legal completion of his contract with TR. But Jr. is spoiled and soft, and secretly he does not want to fight regularly at all. Jr. would rather chill at home, smoke, eat burgers. Waste some time before being forced back into the ring.

Ego's are one hell of a drug. And Haymon\Floyd, if they have a way around the situation ... they will use it to prevent the top execs from dictating to them. And Arum trying to go above the heads of both, is a very bad strategy.
