it was very sad to see a humble legend warrior go down like that. i cried for him that night.

but it only has made his story that much more greater when you see how well he bounced back after that KO. any lesser fighter with a lesser warrior spirit would have retired that night or not have been the same in their next fight.

I also had many mixed feelings that night.. On one hand, my faith in the sport of Boxing was at an all time low, and this helped a bit to restore some of that faith, that you know- anything truly CAN happen on any given night.

I thought it was a great set-up by Marquez, forcing Manny to drop his guard from all the bodyshots, then feinting a bodyshot to land a huge shot upstairs for the KO - I was impressed and my respect for JMM went through the roof.

Then I read all the rumors and allegations, didn't want to believe it at first and just shrugged it off as butt hurt, but when I took a closer look and saw some of the evidence, there were huge red flags everywhere. That's all I will say on that subject here.

I still have mad respect for JMM and his abilities/tenacity/resilience/etc.
One of the best counter-punchers I've ever seen, that's for sure.
