Khan is a fringe welterweight contender. His fight with Alexander is a fight for relevance as much as anything else. Although bizarrely, because of the politics of the sport at the moment, relevance might be all he needs to get a shot at Mayweather.
Brook is ranked significantly higher than Khan by both the TRB and The Ring. As a fighter, which is all that should matter to fans of the sport, he carries more weight than Khan does right now.
Khan is on the verge of being a Zab Judah type figure. A loss to Alexander would do it.Comment

Whats delusional about it??? Khan vs Collazo was probably the most boring Khan fight EVER and still was miles better than Brook vs Porter.. I literally HAD TO FORCE myself to complete that farce of a fight..
and no wayy Porter was some P4P beast, guy has a Draw against Diaz ffs.Comment

If you go by rankings than Khan is Floyd's mando for WBC title, Khan has just 1 fight at WW, Brook has been PRO for longer period than Khan still has just 1 decent fight his whole career.
also not to mention Brook bottled out of fights against Alexander,Bradley etc. he'll probably milk his title against some scrubs hoping for a Khan payday. I hope Khan doesn't fight him and doesn't grant him that payday unless he fights some more credible opponents.Comment

Khan doesn't like Eddie Hearn as well as Brook himself so it's no surprise he's making these statements. It's posturing before negotiations begin.
Khan has given people more than fair deals in the past (50-50 to the likes of Bradley and Peterson) but make no mistake, when it comes down to it, he will call the shots.....(should he beat Alexander of course)Comment

You guys are the gift that keeps on giving!!!!
What are you basing your statements on???? Are you using Pew research data, some polled data or is this your inflected view on others, who don't know any better?
Your comments are possibly the most absurd in this thread,(And that is quite a feat) because you're fabricating theories to support Khan's constant stream of BS, with no substantive evidence to back it up.
Facepalm #1
And this post states REALITY!!!!!!
Khan is a figment of his own making\imagination, with nothing real to support it.
Co-sign!!!! Striking similarity ...... but only those persons missing Khan's nuts splashing around their face, would see it.
Collazo, in spite of the best hopes for a recovering alcoholic, was not the Collazo of yester-year. He was a shell of his former self who managed to clip a severely compromised Ortiz for the win. And please do not introduce ranking into the discussion, be cause everyone knows its system is less than ideal.Collazo is no bum and was ranked well within top 15 WWs when Khan fought him, I don't see Brook stopping him, Collazo would actually give him a tough fight.
And don't think Porter was some P4P beast either, guy arguably lost to Diaz in first fight and struggled in 2nd.
Khan vs Collazo was actually a exciting fight, yes there was holding involved but it was still exciting cause of Khans handspeed and KD's, Porter vs Brook was a total stinker, Brook was literally holding after every 2 sec's it was so painful to watch.
My thoughts exactly!!!!!
Khan is a trip, his resume under the microscope is filled with spotty wins. Yet, for some reason that totally escapes reality, he thinks of himself as some superstar ....................... Superstar of what?????
He's not an A-Level fighter, and one would be extremely hard-pressed to provide valid evidence that he's a consistent B-Level fighter. So, how does one become this imaginary Superstar minus the accomplishments?
Ans: With ******, ******ed fans who need a pseudo-hero to latch onto -- And that's what makes this whole charade and con-job even more disgusting.
Brook is the Champion!!!!
Khan has what exactly??? ................. Hype and false accomplishments post-Olympics. Say, what you want, but Brook doesn't need some fraud on his resume, he needs an opponent that is respected for his accomplishments in the ring -- And that ain't Khan!!!!!Comment

Are you seriously referring to the WBC rankings as an argument for ranking Khan above Brook? If you go by rankings than Khan is Floyd's mando for WBC title, Khan has just 1 fight at WW, Brook has been PRO for longer period than Khan still has just 1 decent fight his whole career.
