Comments Thread For: Amir Khan To Brook, Hearn: My Terms, My Conditions!

Former champion Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) says IBF welterweight king Kell Brook, and his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, are in no position to call the shots on a possible fight in 2015.

Khan is back in action on Saturday night against former two-division champion Devon Alexander at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. If Khan wins, he will then likely become a frontrunner to face WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

I dont think anyone is more delusional than amir khan in the sport of boxing. Hea clearly ducking brook. Amir khan promotions cant promote officially. So the fight would have to take place on a matchroom card. He sounds like floyd mayweather here. That bothers me. Floyd like it or not has earned his position in the sport. Amir khan has done nothing special in my opinion. To lose to lamont peterson and get koed by presscott he shouldn't be acting like this.

      Here's a question:

Was Kell Brook's win over Shawn Porter better than any win on Amir Khan's resume?

No, Maidana. I've never rated Porter at all.

That said I think it should be a 50/50 split for the fight given Khans recent competition and lack of belt but bigger name also I believe Brook to be the much better fighter.

Obviously Khan will be the A side.

Brook's whole resume ride's over 1 decent win (that too a hug and clinch fest) he's fought 33 bums other than that.

plus Brook is not a big name over in the Uk, no way he dictates any terms in the fight.

I'm not convinced. The Maidana that Khan got past struggled desperately with an ancient Erik Morales soon after and was dominated by Alexander after that.

I don't mean to say that Porter is clearly better, but it's at least close. Khan has been around a long time and doesn't actually have many notable wins to show for it.

This is where Amir makes himself look like a d*ck. I like him but he's not even a draw over here anymore, his last fight at Sheffield arena was only 70% full and I was there btw, and where as Kell can pack that arena out. It should be 50/50.

Please stop, Kell can't pack any arena out in the Uk, and is not even known outside of Sheffield, I was there in the Khan-Diaz fight at Motor point* and it was almost packed , also do take into account the expensive tickets and khan fighting in the Uk after back to back losses.

no way it would be 50-50 and you're delusional if you think that, Brook vs Porter drew 525 k on showtime for a title fight, where as Khan vs Molina drew 800+ k ratings, and that was khan coming off a devastating loss.
