Floyd hasn't signed a contract... and he's silent... let's stop acting like this fight is any closer to being made...
Floyd wants people to think he's actually negotiating in good faith... but then ends up denying it ever happened and then he fights another opponent his camp and his network hype up...
I want to know where Floyd stands in negotiating this fight... the more Floyd is silent, the less chance for the fight...

And Floyd has always been the favorite. This is no surprise. Still the best fight out there.

I'm expecting to move off that May date and fight Khan... Floyd's camp is hoping and praying that Khan is impressive against Alexander...
Floyd is the best at hyping up inferior opponents...
Showtime has already been spreading BS that Khan has super speed and doesn't lose rounds, he has to be KOed...
But the Lamont Peterson, Maidana and Julio Diaz fights tell us differently... Khan loses a lot of rounds...
Floyd would beat Khan easier than he beat Canelo...
Floyd v. Pac/Triple G/Cotto at Middleweight are the only competitive fights out there for Floyd...
Let’s forget about the 1980 and 1990s, and take into account 2000-2014. That's 45 PPV cards and 90 fighters who fought the main event. And of those 90 fighters, only Kevin McBride who fought Mike Tyson in his last fight was less accomplished than Algieri, and you have to go back to 1995 and inject Tyson opponent Peter McNeeley to find another less credentialed fighter than Chris who was part of the main event of a PPV card.

Great news for Manny if the fight ever happens (it won't). He's always at his best when he's the betting underdog.
He took the fight against Ledwaba on 2 weeks notice. The odds were so much in favor of the champion all bets were eventually called off. Pac responded by beating him all over the ring before laying him out for good with a patented straight left bomb KO.
Against Barrera, who was P4P #2 bwhind Roy Jones, Pac was the 3-1 underdog. Result- Manny put him through a buzzsaw and forced his corner to save Marco Antonio.
Against Oscar he was a 2-1 underdog. Everyone now forgets that the vast majority of boxing pundits thought that fight was a joke and DLH would easily run through Manny. Obviously reality turned out to be a bit different.
This fight would play out the same way. Don't know why anyone who saw both guys in 2014 would pick Floyd as a 3-1 favorite Barrera style. But Floyd is smart, there's a reason he'll never agree to fight Manny.Last edited by ThePrince; 12-05-2014, 11:09 AM.

The odds between 09-12 for the fight were Floyd as a slight favorite... some places actually had Pacquiao as a slight favorite...
Now Floyd is a clear 3-1...
You're in the U.K., so I'm not surprised you don't know what you're watching in the ring...
Floyd would be taking the fight at the best possible time...diminished Pacquiao while Floyd hasn't been in any wars and still uses his legs as seen in the last Maidana fight...
Pac's chin is damaged and his power has declined, but his speed remains very good, his movement is still good, his stamina is great and his skills are still good. Bradley is a solid fighter with good speed and movement, for my money Manny done a number on him twice.
Mayweather still has his skills, but he has clearly slowed down. His speed and reflexes have slowed, he's getting hit with shots that he simply wouldn't have a few years ago, he spends too much time resting or on the ropes. Maidana is a guy Mayweather would have toyed with, now he's clearly faded and having tough fights with him.
The Marquez KO is the reason for the odds, but since that happened Pacquiao has looked more impressive. Mayweather looked very good against Canelo, not since.

He should be.....
He should be the favorite. Does it mean anything? Nope, not at all. Manny is fighting for his legacy and dislike of Floyd. Floyd is fighting for money and that's a dangerous game. The problem with Americans in general, is they have a greed problem. Greed can get you killed, greed can land you broke, greed can make you think you're more important than others. Greed can get you beat up as well. Manny is going to beat Floyd up. It's personal to him. Floyd doesn't even want to fight him at all. He's not a REAL fighter, he just has REAL skill. He's not a fighter at heart and that's what this fight could come down to.
