As I see it, there are no negotiations, he's trying to force the Mayweather fight by going above Mayweather & Espinoza to the head of CBS i.e. the guy who controls the money.

Might work, but probably won't. Bottom line, if someone doesn't want to fight, then they won't.

Meanwhile, while he's out trying to "trap" them....there's an open offer sitting out there from Espinoza.

A question to all those stating the fight should only be in the US, why?

The money for the fight gets maximized in the US (85% of the money even talked about over this event is expected to come from US PPV customers).

You move the fight out of the US and you miss out on the media circus, often leveraged to maximize the awareness among the casual boxing fan, the very folks needed to drive a massive buyrate.

Vegas (entertainment capital of the world) and New York (media capital of the world) make the most sense as sites. The MGM Grand and the Barclays Center would be great venues for the fight.

If the idea is to try and draw 80,000 people to the fight spectacle, The Superdome in New Orleans is a far better fit than AT&T Stadium in Arlington, for the simple fact the traveling fan would get to enjoy Bourbon St/French Quarter for 3-5 days before taking in the fight.
(apparently, since I've never been, there isn't much to do in Arlington by way of building out a week of festivities).

Even if you put the fight at Wembley, you're not going to get anywhere near the US attention that you'd get stateside.
