Signing Mayweather wasn't just about making money from PPV's. It was about publicity and luring fighters over. They wanted to compete with HBO and having the #1 fighter helped them do that.

I just told u Manny has a guaranteed deal with HBO. What's not to understand? Floyd is guaranteed 30min by showtime and Manny gets about 20 from hbo. Seriously not hard to figure out.

Manny gets his MONEY from BOB ARUM. Just like Floyd gets his money from GOLDEN BOY, not Showtime. Even in his last fight with Maidana it was under Golden Boy, Floyd has yet to fight under Mayweather promotions.

Manny has a deal to fight on HBO a certain amount of times a year for his cut of the PPV just as Floyd does and they get a piece of the pie. You think HBO wants fights at 300k buys? No, of course they don't. But, if they can get 300k buys and all they have to do is fly some cameraman and their annoucners over there and just stream the feed 300k is actually a good deal. The casino pays a big enough fee to cover Manny's guarantee from Arum.
