He was a pitbull very entertaining. he lacked skills to go up another level. His tenacity was what made him good, he broke fighters down with the pace he fought at.

for once it seems like the consensus is pretty much on the money. He did himself proud and excluding that comeback thing only lost the two best fighters of his generation -- who were both pretty much at the peak of their powers when he met them.

Should have gone strait into the Malignaggi rematch.

always thought hatton was overrated , got cut bad by thaxton and dropped by magee at british level ... but someone hit the nail on the head... for at least one night he was elite , after the tzyu fight i thought he was an english duran ,but in hindsight kostya had fought twice in 4 years .some one else also mentioned he wasted his prime fighting for the wbu title. hatton was at his peak age 21 -26 , though he unified later, has there ever been a worse champe than carlos maussa ? ...one very underrated asset was his footwork ... nice to see him get props from people talking sense

It is pretty crazy that he has gone from so massively overrated leading up to the Mayweather fight to quite underrated several years later.

Pacman would beat any version of Hatton.

Heck, if current Pac fought prime Ricky he'd beat him.

If Pac was black you wouldn't be so butthurt, you just see him as an inferior asian who could never beat a white man, but unfortunately he did.

I love Ricky Hatton. Where's Annie's story about him and Ricky?

Exactly how I feel about him.
