Comments Thread For: Hearn Targets Fury vs. Joshua For Next Summer

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, wrote in his Daily Mail column that he wants to match Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua (10-0) against EBU/British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (23-0) in a very high profile event next summer.

Fury beat up Dereck Chisora last Saturday night for an easy TKO win in their rematch, and now holds the WBO's status as the mandatory challenger to Wladimir Klitschko, who is like to return in late April against unbeaten contender Bryant Jennings.

I like Joshua, but he's not ready for Fury.

Let the kid find his own way.

A J is still serving his apprenticeship & should be treated as such. matchroom should be showing him off in Germany & the USA right now. A fight with English titlist John McDermott would also serve him well.

John McDermott..... have a word! That's a step backwards from his 3 previous contests. He struggled with slick stuff in the olympics, he needs something different from the plodders he's been fed in the pro's. Eddie Chambers fits the bill nicely. Johnson would be a good test too. John McDermott...... pffft

Whats going on with eddie chambers anyhow? he fought for the world title and now he's fighting Joshuas past KO victims. Got the feeling they'd never let him fight Joshua but it'd be a great matchup

                Hearn just talking.

No way he puts AJ in there to slaughter against 2FAST.

They aren't going to go from the lowest level to the fastest man on the planet.
