I'm soured on Cotto/Canelo before it even happens because of the catchweight BS. Who knew the lineal MW title was actually meant to be contested at 155? I read earlier that Canelo wants the fight at 155....I was starting to respect you kid, but someone should tell you that you're actually a MW. Man I wish they had same day weigh ins and people would fight in their actuall divisions

Irrespective of what SA says, Oscar will be in no rush to put Canelo in with Golovkin.
It's been more than a year since he fought at 154. I don't think he goes back unless Cotto wants the fight there.

Canelo is the only one I'm willing to believe when he says he wants to fight GGG. He has already fought two guys he was supposed to be ducking.

No he seems to want to create a new division at 155 SMH

Pls not the catchweight hypocrisy again. Floyd, Manny, JMM, Hopkins etc all asked for catchweights at one point or another. And it's not like that one pound was terribly unfair to Canelo's opponents. Both Lara and Angulo are big jr. MWs.

And Cotto won the MW "championship" at a CW so what's your problem?

If Canelo could somehow beat both Cotto at 160 and GGG, he might be holding fighter of the year 2015 with a firm grip

Sure, we're ******. Anything Canelo or his people say, we believe. Of course Hitler did launch Operation Barbarossa, so smarter people have done dumber things, but I'll only believe that Canelo will fight GGG once the fight actually begins. Let me put it another way: no boxer that looks like the adult version of Opie Taylor will risk getting his freckles knocked off by any punch GGG lands.

Canelo got schooled by this era's greatest technician but still is thirsty to face the best. If Mayweather doesnt fight Pacquiao, he'll fade into obscurity in 2015.

Big if! That would guarantee fighter of the yr unless someone had a clear win over mayweather. Either way it's refreshing to see s fighter that will D2BG like the fighters of the past
