Mayweather is finished if he ducks pacquiao again especially after the foot locker commercial. The whole world will know that he isn't a true champion. Pacquiao is younger and in better shape than Mayweather so expect pacman to be ppv king for the next few years as long as arum can find him some decent opposition due to the fact Al Haymon has a lot of big names that he won't let fight top rank fighters. No PPV distributor is going to pick a Canelo PPV event over a Mayweather PPV event, regardless of who Canelo fights.

All of this false bravado, and the foolish rhetoric from the folks on this site (who likely never actually pay for the PPVs to begin with) will result in Alvarez ending up left with taking $1.5m to have the fight aired on regular HBO.

Im still trying to figure out what makes Canelo entitled to those dates. If the argument is, its because hes mexican, im going to call B.S. on that. If those are the biggest dates for PPV boxing then they should be reserved for the biggest fights. If Mayweather has the bigger fight then who cares if he gets the date. That being said there is only one fight bigger than Cotto-Canelo. If Canelo does not fight Cotto I fail to see how Canelo is going to beat Mayweather off the date especially because if not Cotto-Canelo then it looks like its going to be Mayweather-Cotto.

And lets not forget one thing, Its not only Mexicans who buy the PPV on those dates, all demographics increase in PPV purchases, American, Puerto Rican and Mexican among others. Im sure theres a larger increase by the Mexican demographic but its not the only increase, I will even go as far as to say that its not even 50% of the buys. So the myth that these dates are sought after for the increased Mexican buys is just that, a myth. These dates are sought after because during these dates there is little to no competition in other sports, which means there is a larger focus on boxing resulting in a larger buy rate.

-Showtime isn't looking at one fight; they're looking at 6 fights. (Mayweather-Canelo was so big a fight that the $32m guarantee is still workable).
-Both Mayweather-Maidana fights have been rumored to do well over $60m in PPV revenue.
-Mayweather-Khan could be easily expected to bring in another $25m in PPV revenue in England

-No PPV distributor is going to carry Cotto-Alvarez over Mayweather-Khan if forced to choose; the heck with what you think. lol
