I was just wondering when Stevenson would get stripped of the Ring Magazine title, then i read this article and realized i wasn't the only thinking the same thing

You're not alone friend, I don't think they would strip him though....it's just meaningless, he's an alphabet belt holder and that's it.....I don't put much thought into the ring or lineal titles....as either can be meaningless at times.

The Ring doesn't strip its titleholders unless they officially declare a move to a different weight, or retire. Maybe the procedure has changed since then, I'm not totally sure on that one.

So until something happens, we're Stuck with the Duck.

I think you're right about the ring stripping fighters, but who really cares about their belt? Us boxing nerds? If we don't then nobody does

The way Haymon does business is very old school. The whole secrecy, never appearing in public, making decisions that aren't transparent. It's not the way you do business in the Internet age, when communication and information are open to everybody. And I hope his clients will learn the hard way that passing on opportunities and playing the waiting game is not the way 21st century works.

Adonis is actually about 6 months away from being stripped by ring magazine. According to their championship policy , he has to fight at least one top 5 contender within 2 years, which Stevenson hasn't done.
