And how can Eubank Sr talk about poor records when his sons record is the worst of all?
Love doesn't have a good record obviously but it's worlds better than Eubank Jr's.
The problem with Eubank is just that his greatness lasted for a very short period of time, mostly because of the Watson incident.

How many fights did Eubank really impress or look impressive?
Only one I consider is the first Benn fight, which I was at in Birmingham.
Both Watson fights, both Close fights, Malinga, Rochigiani, Benn 2, Schomer, Thornton, and more.
He looked from average to outright terrible in all of those, he arguably lost many of them aswell. And a lot of those aren't even good fighters.
I consider his career dead average.
Maybe the second Watson fight caused that, maybe it didn't, but what we do know is how his career played out.

The first Watson fight could have gone either way, I agree. And despite the tragedy of the second fight it took some heart to get up from being dropped hard and legitimately for the first time of your career, to get up and knock out a guy like Watson straight after. People also really don't give Watson the credit he deserves in my opinion. He was an awesome fighter.
In my opinion he could have won one of the Collins fights. I think I'm talking about the first fight but it could be the second too. As well as one of the Thompson fights which in my opinion was very close. I believe it was the first one. The second one he had a closed eye if I'm not remembering incorrectly.
I guess the biggest problem was that he didn't really take on any of the good Americans of his era.
And also large parts of his career was based on just earning as much money as possible. But he did still have 20 or so world title defences.
That's pretty impressive.

Who did he actually beat? Benn 1 was a great win, Watson wins were good (thought he lost of the first one) what else? Extremely thin.
And all of those fights I mentioned, he could easily have lost most of those and looked poor in almost all of them.

I don't know. I suppose his resume isn't the deepest. I just think he was great.
But I was always more of a Benn fan.
Do you think Benn's resume is better than Eubank's?

The only time he really impressed was the first Benn fight. That was a great night
I was actually a Eubank fan, still am. He's just not a great fighter, I don't think he's even HOF level to be honest, boaderline.
He just looked too poor, too often, it was a miracle that he made it to 1997 without a loss, an actual miracle.
I'd say Benn has the better resume yeah, especially if you count the draw as a win, I thought Benn won the second one.

US fans don't know what they missed out on, maybe Jr. will come on and fight overseas, he definitely has some potential imo despite being rough around the edges.
I also think it's hilarious Sr's got all these TMT guys butthurt just by being himself, especially if it's true that J'Leon Love is a loudmouth around the gym.
