If al were ***ish, you and many others on NSB wouldn't hate him so much, have a problem with what he was doing, nor create threads about him and how bad he is for boxing.

You obviously did not read the article to the link that I posted. A guarantee is a guarantee. Just because a check in the amount for $6mil -expenses was cut the day of the fight doesn't mean that's all he's receiving. He's guaranteed to see the amount contracted over a period of time minus taxes and expenses of course.

Floyd on the other hand gets his $40mil check in its entirety because GBP pays it out upfront and collects on the back end. He's his own company, therefore he has to pay all the expenses and taxes himself out of that $40mil rather than having it deducted the way Pac does.

Whether its being deducted or you're paying it yourself, the end result is the same.

Also, in regards to Floyd, no. Golden Boy does not receive money from the backend. They get paid a flat fee from Floyd to co-promote. It's actually Floyd that puts up the money for his fights, including his opponents purse. This is fact, and was reported about in the NY Times already.

Someone who said fighters themselves turned Thurman down.....They can't, Haymon has the final say on who they fight....some of the guys were'nt signed to Al at the time but now there is no reason Thurman should be fighting the trash he's fighting. He's the interim champ and the WBA should be held accountable for not even trying to set up a shot at Floyd or making him vacate.....ridiculous all around.

And to those who said it's a transition year, to @rse with you....he has the deepest stable in the game and there is no valid excuse to hold the sport hostage for a year. You don't get kicked off HBO for no reason, especially when you have the fighters he has....it's because the guy is absolute poison. Why do you think Jay-Z is messing with him, Jay-Z doesn't care about boxing, he just wants to funk with Haymon and it really looks bad making his fighters turn down massive purses in the process.

Seriously, what kind of manager advises their clients to turn down their biggest paydays and vacate belts that are the only reason they're relevant in a division? It's madness and it's too bad that hardcore fans who have a clue don't really have any clout resulting in ratings for a bout like Garcia-Salka.

Well no fighter ever see's their entire fight purse. As I stated in an earlier post, Some people actually believe that when its reported that Floyd makes $40mil that he actually keeps the entire $40mil. LOL. He'd be lucky to see $15mil of that 40 once all taxes and expenses are paid.

Same goes for Pac and every other fighter in the sport.

We know Floyd's guarantee. Huge disparity between filing $30m + and filing $6m.

I said that. Those fighters all turned Thurman down, and this was before they even signed with Haymon themselves. Although, Porter turned Thurman down too, and Porter was with Haymon when that happened. But it wasn't Haymon behind that decision.

Guess who it was? It was Porter's father behind that decision. His father already did an interview explaining why they are uninterested in fighting Thurman. It's on Youtube.

Radio save it. Floyd's deal has been posted in the NYTimes and other places. Whenever you mention this the response is they don't know or it's not right. The whole point is to claim Floyd doesn't make what is reported. Nothing you post will make posters change their opinion.

Thanks man...let's not even get into what he's managed to do to Stevenson's career in a short period of time. I will forgive Bernard for all of those MW fights on HBO that didn't entertain me for pulling a fast one on Haymon. That was a masterstroke and he made Al look like an idiot for trying to get him to give up his IBF belt(so one of his other fighters could grab it)

That happened because Mayweather Promotions was not a licensed promoter in Nevada at that time. Golden Boy does not put up the cash.
