    Pacquiao should be FOTY 2014

Pacquiao beat down Bradley in his weight class, Who is a better fighter than Gamboa, by a long shot. Aligeri win is also impressive, complete wipe out, what was it? 6 KD's, the guy who outboxed RUslan, one of the most feared fighters in the division.

Crawford's win over Burns was ok. Burns should've lost to Beltran, i actually see Beltran, Manny's sparring partner, as a better fighter. And Gamboa has looked like *****, he was nearly gettin Ko'ed by journey men, came back after a long lay off to fight Crawford at a weightclass he doesn't belong. Don't get me wrong, great string of wins for Crawford, and i like seeing that from the up and coming generation, but Pacquiao competed at a higher caliber, and made it look easy, really easy.

Fans need to settle down a little bit, look at the real picture. I know it's fun seeing new fighters stringing good wins together, but Pacquiao was far more dominant, against better competition.

Pacquiao should be fighter of the year.

The top 3, in no order, are Pac, Crawford, and Kovalev. Pac's win over Bradley is big and Algieri is a bonus but Crawford and Kovalev fought more which may help them. Crawford might get it because this year for him has been huge and he has had very solid wins. Kovalev's performance and win over Hopkins could very well put him in the lead for the award though.

If any other ww had only 2 wins this year and they were over Tim and ALgieiri they wouldn't be in the running for FOTY.

It was the best win of the year. I don't know if it's enough on its own to earn him FOTY though. Considering that he's come back from the Marquez KO to beat prime, elite competition, there's an argument that it is I guess.

Crawford has a strong shout, without a marquee win. Kovalev has a decent shout, and Golovkin has too. He absolutely destroyed his opposition again this year. But the quality of the opposition is still an issue.

Probably reflects the nature of the year in that there's no real standout for the award.
