thats why he should forget pac for now and go for that 6th wbc title..

        Mayweather/Cotto 2

        Pacquiao/Cotto 2

        Cotto/Canelo

        Pacquiao/Canelo

        Mayweather/Pacquiao

All options equal out to clashes of epic proportion.

damn why are ppl hating on this, cotto was giving floyd the business in their fight.. He looks even sharper now , that fight is a toss up at this stage considering floyd has looked mediocre in his last two fights. I really have no problem with this rematch.. but i know how ppl are sick n tired of waiting for the pacman fight ... but think about it, september is his last fight under showtime contract, he can fight pacman then and build it as his "last fight" (even though its not) .. pac can go fight danny garcia in the meantime (if haymon allows it)

we know what floyd does in rematches though. I know this isn't an immediate rematch like his other two, but Floyd already knows what he'd be dealing with.

and i'd bet money on Floyd-Cotto II happening instead of Cotto-Canelo. Haymon will do everything he can to undermine HBO and Oscar's fighters who are actually Golden Boy fighters, and I can't put this past him at all.

              In order of "epicness":

              Cotto vs Canelo
              FMJr. vs Cotto 2
              Pac vs Cotto 2
              Pac vs Canelo

Canelo/Cotto is ripe to do that fight right now. Other than Pac/Floyd there is no other bigger fight than this one.

I hope that this fight happens not only because it is one of the best match-ups out there but so Floyd will be forced to look elsewhere and his desire not to be upstage he takes the Pac fight

Cotto is a free agent, he fights with whoever he damn well pleases.....I really don't kno why people assumed the Canelo match was a given, Lara ruined Canelo and Cotto as said time and time again that he will make the best decision for himself.....

The problem fro Cotto/GGG fights with Cotto is he can make close to 8 figures facing a bum, that doesn't bode well for young up and comers who haven't done shyt like GGG and Canelo in negotiations, and Canelo gave up his little flex by looking like trash vs a beatable average fighter in Lara(his gifts and tapes prove that); what makes people think the HOF Cotto can't replicate moving and landing 5-8 punches per round......

The fight won't happen right now, this boxing thing here is about maximizing your dollars and Canelo hasn't removed the stench of Lara....Canelo needs a Feb match vs a can and try to catch Cotto in June; Cotto let it be known he wasn't a pawn in Oscar/Arum game, he don't even care about a May date.....

Interested in seeing how things play out with these names...............

If Mayweather opts to fight Cotto instead of Pac, Pac should fight Canelo instead of going down in weight. Mayweather vs Cotto. . . .Pac vs Alvarez on Cinco de Mayo. . . .lol. . .
