The main was worse. Mickey risked an acting career, Provo was serious. He really beat an old man.

Rourke is what's known as a "novelty fighter"! He is well known in the actors community and choose a "tough guy" imagine at a young age. He could box a little and when he was a novelity 20 years at 42 yrs old he fought guys that were below his level. The guy he fought the other night got hit by 3 or 4 left hooks to the body, he got hurt by the last one and that was it. I'm sure he was told to try and stay "upright" as long as he could. Well that was as long as he could.
Screw Rourke the poor bastard in the ring with him is the story in todays society. A guy will take take punches he knows he can't handle just to try and earn a buck. Look at that poor guy and tell me whose hiring him to do anything!
This was a set up by Rourke and his friend the promoter, nothing to do with a gym or trainers this guy at one time was on a list of "opponents" by some matchmaker who could find him by finding 3 other people first!!!
Very sad that Rourke stoops this low and he's damn near frightening looking!
nice hair piece of *****!Comment

Firstly, and more importantly, isn't paying boxers to take a dive or throw a fight illegal?
Yeah, I think it is ...........
Rourke is a elite class creep, and he doesn't get a pass from me. 1.) He disrespected the sport of boxing by illegally staging a fight where the outcome was predetermined and fixed. 2.) Rourke exploited a homeless person for personal gains -- Yes the homeless guy did make a few bucks, but what now for the guy? This is exploitation at its most pure and heartless state and even worst, Rourke used and abused a homeless US citizen down on his luck just to get some attention -- How freakin lame is that?
Rourke is the ultimate scum-bag, piece of shit, nothing more!!!! He is the epitome of what this crumbling society has become ... Morally bankrupt, debase of values, and reprehensibly heartless.
I hope during his next fight, the grim reaper visits him, they'll be good company.Comment

If the fight wasn't sanctioned, i'm not so sure that it's illegal. Especially in Russia.

But I agree completely; they exploited a desperate young guy man and made the sport look like an absolute joke. **** Mickey Rourke.Comment

Id agree if it were an actual fight with an actual opponent that was there to fight even a little bit but to to be fair, when a fight is fixed like that, literally anybody could do that.Lol, even though the fight was a farce I still think Rourke getting in the ring at 62 is something to be admire. We have a lot of keyboard warriors on here calling fighters bums or cowards but not one of them have the guts to do 2 rounds with those bums.
Regarding the fight the way Seymour took that dive was a bit ******, he could have waited till he got hit with something more meaty before going down.
I cant respect anybody who is part of a fixed fight and actually thinks he should get some type of credit for it afterwards no matter how old they are.
It makes boxing look like a total joke especially when a fight like that is on the CNN website as news afterwards but so many other fighters get ignored.Comment

He's saying he wants to fight Bernard Hopkins soon, but needs to win about 10 to 15 more fights first lol

LOL, I know right? It may sound schitty but there are a lot of people out there who could use a few extra grand for one reason or another. If all it's going to take is me taking a few punches and missing a count, then I might be able to do that in exchange for paying off my $39,000 student loan debt.Comment
