Billy Joe Saunders handed Chris Eubank Jr the first defeat of his professional career to retain his British, European and Commonwealth middleweight titles.

An entertaining fight which grew as it went on was decided by a split decision with the judges eventually handing the bout to Saunders.

Saunders was the winner on the cards of two judges - 115-114 and 115-113 their verdicts - but the other official scored th fight 116-113 in Eubank's favor.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong. You lost. Get it? And the split decision was a gift. Now get back to the gym, and shut your trap.

He won a chorus of boos. I don't think anyone expected him to win. Billy Joe Saunders is a good prospect but he's got a whole lot of learning to do. If he becomes World Champion, I only like to see a rematch if Eubank Jr drastically improves his opposition and his worth.

No you didn't Chris. Calm down son.

Get back in the gym and work on your jab and footwork. And stop trying to land bombs from way out.

          I agree.

They started pretty slow and were boxing on the outside, which suited Saunders and I scored 4 of the first 6 in his favour. However, Eubank got aggressive and dominated the 2nd half of the fight despite his many, many flaws. I scored 5 of the last 6 to Eubank.

Just saw Steve Collins and Richie Woodhall's scoring of the fight, I agree with them.

He's entitled to think so, he was in there taking the punches.

Needs to start using his jab. If he'd been a bit more aggressive early on and had walked down saunders behind a decent jab he'd probably have taken it but he didn't start fighting until he was half a fight down. Yeah he won the second half of the fight but had left himself in too deep a hole. That lunging in looking for the perfect highlight reel shot he was doing is not going to win him too many decisions. A good learning fight for him if he takes the lessons from it.

I had it a draw, but could see it 7-5 to Saunders.

                Was a great fight.
